even if u don't include Paulie, Broner STILL aint top 10

http://boxrec.com/ratings.php?sex=m&division=Welterweight

We going with boxrec though?:comeon:

Dan Rafael has him at #8 http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/9226826/division-division-rankings

Ring Magazine has him at #10 http://ringtv.craveonline.com/ratings/welterweight

I have him at #7, he should actually be #8 though because I forgot all about Robert Guerrero, which isnt too far off from what respectable writers have him at.....but we dont know boxing?:snoop:

1) Floyd, 2) Bradley, 3) JMM, 4) Manny, 5) Maidana, 6) Thurman, 7) Guerrero, 8) Broner, 9) Porter, 10) Alexander are the top 10 WWs imo

@synistr....no Cotto at 154?

I put some thought into these lists and Cotto was definitely on my mind but I had to put Trout in there because Trout lost to the 2 best guys at that weight...so I dont penalize him as much. I always thought Lara was the best fighter at 154 even when Canelo was champ. that was a personal opinion but you can search back where I was saying that I would respect Canelo if he beat Lara because I though Lara was tougher than Trout....and nikkas was sayin Lara was no match for Canelo. I even implied that Canelo was gonna duck Lara. So I am happy with my 154 list and couldve put Lara at #1 but didnt penalize Canelo much for losing to Floyd. I didnt penalize Cotto much for losing to Floyd but he did lose to Trout...so Trout makes my list before him. Every person on my list effects the placement of every other person.

@patscorpio I threw Kirkland in there as a wild card because he holds that win over Molina. I considered Molina, Cotto, even Mundine....but I felt Kirkland deserved the spot.

@SuikodenII also, I made these lists off of ring outcomes and business mostly, not by the eye test. If done with the eye test, my lists would be completely different.

man you guys have no love for carlos molina dont you? lol... molina at best is the solid number 2 in that division only behind floyd..def would be higher than lara, trout, andrade, or kirkland

you my nikka but.... where's your list?

you think Molina, who got a SD against Ishe could be seen as a clear #2? the Kirkland fight was fukked up, but still, I believe Kirkland was on his way to stopping Molina for one. Two...the corner fukked up, no matter how inadvertent and technical it was. I have seen many fighters get KD at the bell and have count administered and their corners didnt jump in the ring while the count was being administered. What if they purposely did it and thought it would buy Molina more time?

on these lists, I was trying my best to go with winners. Molina is a recent winner but Kirkland has that W over him. Andrade undefeated. Lara been winning against good opposition and has the controversial loss to PWill. Trout is the only one not winning but he lost to the 2 top guys...so that was a judgement call. If I were to omit Trout, I could place Molina in there but below Kirkland. I think Trout beats both of them though.

again, I feel uneasy placing guys ahead of guys who have beaten them already unless its clear that said guys are on the decline, which I dont see that in Kirkland or Trout even. Cotto wouldve been my #6 but after him, I still would put Mundine ahead of Molina. Molina biggest win against the terrible Ishe Smith who lost every step up fight he had (K-9 is no step up :usure:) and even lost to Joel Julio :scusthov: Outside of that, he beat guys who were coming off losses like Spinks and :cape:Cintron. Mundine did beat R. Alvarez when he was coming off a loss...but that loss was to Trout.

sn: Just thinking how bad Ishe is. he was in the right place at the right time to get that belt. his biggest win was against K-9 and Bailey. Look at all the guys he lost too that he became a champion and they havent. I knew his first defense he was food...it just so happened to be Molina who got that meal. Molina's title reign will be short.

so where do u guys rank broner as a welterweight now:mjpls:

He's not top 5 currently.

I have him at #7 behind Floyd, Bradley, JMM, Manny, Maidana, and Thurman

At 8th I have Porter, 9th I have Alexander, and 10th I have Malignaggi

Out of the top 10, even before the Maidana match I said I cant see Broner beating many in the WW top 10

I didnt have Broner in my top 5 WW. I didnt rank him at 135 because I dont believe he will ever fight there again, and even Stafford said recently that he dont think Adrien can make 135....so :manny:

As a WW he falls way back. One notch above Paulie who he struggled with. So it depends on how high I would rank Paulie. I could rank Paulie behind Alexander, Brook, Thurman, and maybe even Guerrero. so in my book, AB is barely clinging on to top 10 WW status. The highest spot I would give him would be an extremely generous 6th...but he could be as low as 11 if you put the guys I mentioned above ahead of him. The only name guys at 147 I CANNOT put ahead of AB is Khan who I ranked as a 140lber and Berto, who is a name still but not relevant.

daps and reps coming to everyone who did a list. :salute:

@Newzz the only sore thumb on your list is Abraham IMO. Kessler has something he doesnt. W over Froch. Stieglitz stopped Abraham so gotta put him on top of AA too. Rodriguez has better resume in past 2 years and only loss is to top dog. Even Groves deserves higher ranking to me. He is more closer to Bika but I would give Bika the edge because his 168 resume is longer and stronger. AA best 168 lb win without question is Stieglitz which he was stopped in return match.

@ChocolateGiddyUp good list too breh...but u know I gotta fukk witcha bout JCCjr. its your list and its your boy, I get it...but how u rank a guy at a weight he never fought at? He needs to be ranked at 160 or 175 but of course at those weights he doesnt find placement. :troll:
