Literally every non-cac that tells me they support Trump, cite the whole trans thing as their reason.

At first, they'll say it's because of the economy, but as you dig deeper, they reveal it's because of trans people in bathrooms and reading to kids or whatever.

HOWEVER, cacs--who make up the majority of republicans and maga--simply hate black people and are willing to vote against their own interests to hurt us..

So it's hard to say if trans issues are what's hurting democrats.

Props to TYT were showing EXACTon this segment because Cenk was 100% right and the 2 other dudes (who are both actually very good political commentators) were showing EXACTLY what Cenk was speaking on.

It's an unimportant issue that literally affects nobody. Yes, the Republicans beat that ad into peoples heads allowing them to completely disregard the fact that Trump signed off on continuing this when he was in office (trans surgery for jailed immigrant fakkits) but it being a subject of conversation should be shut down immediately. As soon as an interviewer bring it up, you can say "this affects no one and costs you nothing, we have no reason to be speaking on this, ITS THE LAW AS OF RIGHT NOW AND IT WAS PART OF TRUMPS TIME IN OFFICE".

the commercials were OD, any time I was watching games on saturday you'd see at least one every commercial break. I was talking to a friend about it and he mentioned they were running them on youtube ads too. I think it would be naive to just dismiss how easy it is to make it a hot button issue to galvanize the republican base

I also wanna bring up how it is that any mention of policy or support of black people is met with resistance or nervousness. being scared that bringing up black people's concerns in the singular will drive people away so they hide behind "POC", "minorities", and a rising tide raises all boats rhetoric to make it more palatable, but are beating their chest about lgbtq issues. don't seem to be afraid to lose voting bases from their singled out support of them

You need to know these stats in order to calculate and measure and manage potential risk by taking on certain causes.
