Spears shouldn't be taking stunners from a 5'6" buck-nothing dweeb like Tony Khan, I don't care if it's in the ball pit at Chuck-E-Cheese with no cameras or on the internet for everyone to see.

Tony clearly doesn't have the intellectual fortitude to compete with Vince if this is the type of shyt he's green-lighting.

So far "Mr. I don't wank dogs" appears to be a shyt-for-brains mark with more dollars than sense. He's got too many cooks in the kitchen and his ship is sinking faster than the Titanic at 2 AM on April 15.

If he doesn't correct course like ASAP, daddy Shad is going to pull the plug
and we'll be back to a complete monopoly. I don't want to see it, you don't want to see it. Let's take a good look in the mirror and admit our faults already.

Nah, in the grand scheme AEW is probably saving Shahid money because it keeps Tony busy and away from Shahid's other businesses. Tony's "work" at Fulham alone cost the club hundreds of millions of pounds in TV money as well as millions in sponsorships, matchday income and transfer fees.

The only concern would be with TNT because nobody really knows how long they're committed to actually being "back in the wrasslin' business" taking into account the fact that pro wrestling has historically struggled massively when it comes to advertisers and that includes WWE. TNT and Warner aren't in this because of some deep love for wrestling or whatever otherwise there would have been wrestling programming on the network long ago. They're in this most likely because when they saw what FOX and USA were willing to pay for RAW and Smackdown and the Khans and co came along promising an equal to or better than product to the WWE at a fraction of the price that sounds like a good deal.

However it sounds like less of a good deal and the costs of producing the show become less justifiable when the show's viewership is being cannibalised by the WWE's third rate show being shot in front of 400 people on a soundstage. Networks gamble on wrestling despite the advertising issues because of the hope that wrestling can attract enough viewers who'll watch the show and then stick around for the other shows on the network (that perform better with advertisers). The risk:reward ratio for wrestling programming suddenly becomes skewed towards the negative end when your show is doing closer to TNA on Destination America numbers than TNA on Spike and that may worry the network.

Not necessarily, maybe Tony has the chops to be a competent wrestling promoter in the long term and these are just growing pains. Maybe Tony will actually be good at this because it's something he's passionate about :manny:. Vince's ventures outside of wrestling haven't been too successful but he's still the best to ever do it. That wasn't me dismissing Tony entirely, I'm just saying I know what he definitely isn't good at and it could benefit Shahid to keep him away from all that.

Tony made the mistake of trusting someone with bad intentions. Cody isn't trying to change the face of professional wrestling at all, he's trying to show Vince that he made a mistake by not making him a more important part of the WWE.

It struggles when the product is bad, but even when they've been bad the WWE still had Snickers, KFC, Skittles, Burger King & other top brands as did WCW when they were good. Any business/sport that's not making any money won't have many sponsors, and trust if the NFL ratings ever hit the low 1s then every alcohol & shoe company would jump ship. If AEW was being run better I believe that they could attract some bigger sponsors who feel like they're a part of some new exciting upstart group. I could see AEW being sponsored by Budweiser in the future if they got their shyt together.
