You need to make sure you are using the proper hdmi cable and you have turned on the proper hdmi version on you4 tv.

There's a helpful troubleshooter in support that will point you where you need to be though.

Breh, I used hdmi cable that came with XSX and I plugged into my LG C1 hdmi 2.1 (4K 120) port,

:gucci: are you fukking serious?

no…you can explicitly have HDR, HDR10 AND dolby vision all checked off…I only had dolby vision checked off until I saw your post…I guess I must’ve preferred it at the time I set my TV up…but I just unchecked it and checked HDR, HDR10…they are not the same as dolby vision

@Methodical on your xbox go to settings then “TV & display options” then go to the 3rd column—Advanced > Video modes where you should see options to check off options in the 2nd column like “Allow 4K, Allow HDR10, Auto HDR, Allow Dolby Vision, and Dolby Vision for Gaming” then check what you want…if they’re grayed out and you can’t check them you might need to turn the xbox/TV off and turn them back on…I don’t think I had any trouble setting it up with this TV (LG) but I remember having to do a little bit of troubleshooting with my older TV (samsung) at the time

I can go either way…HDR is definitely sharper/more clear but I like the colors on dolby vision more…HDR looks a bit darker on my TV than dolby vision

DV is technically better. Regular HDR sets it and forgets it. HDR 10 and DV can change the color and contrast settings. WAY better in movies at least. When the movie changes from say a day to a night scene, the HDR settings will update to handle it better.

Dolby vision IS HDR just a different form.

No way you can activate both at once. If a game supports dolby then that’s what you will get not HDR.

If you just want HDR for every game you have to go in settings and uncheck Dolby vision.

Edit: My bad, was already answered.
