Fantastic news for Series S owners like me. This is why I'm keeping my S to see how far they can push it.
I'd really be plenty satisfied with upscaled 1440p standard.

If they really wanted to go ham I’d like to see them try and push those last gen Xbox one x enhancements on the console, specifically those games like gears 4 that had a performance mode option

Aren't those 4k? The S can do upscaled 4k and I believe native (but only for something like Ori).
A Marcus Fenix Collection has been rumored forever maybe we'd see it then. I'm waiting for a Gears 6 announcement before playing through 1 - 5.
