LG CX and my Series X will heat the fukk out of a room. Don't know if anyone has a similar experience but it's something to keep in mind.

Out of curiosity, what size room is that setup in? I haven't noticed any huge difference in room temp with my SX/PS5/C1 setup, but it's also in my living room, where it'd be harder to notice.

The upside is that it sounds like at least the fan/cooling setup on the SX is doing its job.

I can't recall the dimensions but it's an apartment bedroom, so not all that big. I will also say that the room itself has shytty airflow so it locks in heat more readily. I don't think it was as big an issue in the last apartment I was in.

Ahh, gotcha.

I was thinking of copping another OLED next year for my office, and moving my gaming setup in there as well. Might have to account for it getting a little hot.

Yeah, it is kinda weird my XSX runs hot as hell. Thankfully being in my basement it never gets above 77. I turn on the A/C when I'm in there to cool it down to the low 70s.

Any good external XSX coolers just in case? :lupe:

Yeah, that is weird. I guess mine probably runs hot too, but I'm really never close enough to it to notice unless I'm swapping out a controller while I'm playing. And even then, it doesn't seem to be more than I expected. You running yours vertical or horizontal?

If you have central air, or even a ceiling fan, you probably don't have to worry. I get hit with no AC, no ceiling fan, next to no airflow with the window open, and the room gets raped by the sun from midday thru sunset.

With AC you're fine. Like Legal said, it's showing that the X is evacuating the heat like it's supposed to.
why am I getting so many notifications from @Rekkapryde in here?:gucci:
You shouldn't be getting notifications from this thread because you shouldn't be in here at all :gucci:

Makes sense. I'm in Arizona. I think it's actually illegal to not have both of those in a house/apartment, so I'm good. You definitely got hit with the absolute worst possible situation for heat management though. Gotdamn. :picard:

Man it's been my luck for the past 15 or so years to get stuck with a room that stays getting the hottest :snoop: . I have a portable AC but it doesn't always cool shyt down like I want.

Costco got the 65 inch C1 WITH extended warranty to give me 5 years of coverage for 1599. Coppin this evening :yeshrug:

Best Buy wants 250 for their warranty so that would be 1350 for the 55 inch C1 there, but I'll pay the extra 250 at Costco for 10 more inches :dame:

Well played.

Only thing I'd say to check beforehand, is what all Costco's extended warranty covers. I specifically bought mine from Best Buy because they're dumb enough to cover burn in on theirs. :mjlol:
