Serious question…I’ve never personally owned an Xbox, but I’ve played most of the biggest titles. The last few days I’ve seen Best Buy has both the S and X available, but I’m not sure if i should pull the trigger on it getting one. Console wars aside, is it worth getting as a secondary console? FWIW, it would probably be for a trial of game pass, and i prefer RPGs, action/adventure, mostly single player games. I’ve seen people here talking about Microsoft expanding game pass to other platforms and for that reason I’m not sure if i should wait for that (since at the moment i already have a very big back log I’m working through) instead of getting an Xbox right now.

If you have a PC, try a trial of game pass ultimate. From there, you can determine if it's worth getting a console.

GP games on console and PC are different. Cop an X, and use the trial to determine whther to keep it. S is kinda ass.

Thanks. I think I’m ultimately going to end up going with the Series X. Between GP and dev mode for other stuff that should keep me covered
Definitely be glad you’re going with the X bro. That extra bit of power makes all of the difference. Quick resume is my favorite feature of the Xbox. Had my joint since launch and no problems so far knock on wood

Yeah i saw it earlier and out of curiosity got all the way to confirming payment. Not sure what would’ve happened afterwards but it was for retail price if anyone interested

There's nothing wrong with getting a Series S. I have all the next gen features, except for 4k.

A 4k TV with 120Hz and VRR would've added at least another $1000 to my bottom line.

I got a $300 console and a $300 monitor and I'm all set.

$600 vs $1500. Easy decision for me.
