I have a few questions for you cats.

So I'm in the market for a Series X/S. I don’t have a 4k TV, and I already have a few other consoles that I give my time to, so I probably won't be on the XBox heavy. So should I cop the S from Microsoft.com along with the extra storage, or should I wait it out until the series X restock. Any advice is welcomed.

Series S no doubts about it. I have a series x and I briefly had a series s and the difference was negligible. I have an OLED but if you don't even have a 4ktv then you really won't notice much difference. The series s is very capable and because of immature dev kits some launch games ran at a lower performance than ideal. That has already been remedied. games made for next-gen work better on it than previous gen titles that are upscaled. So people then believed if it can't upgrade previous-gen titles the way that they would hope, then it probably couldn't run next-gen titles either. But that's false. Flight simulator is the proof...

I would rather have the disc drive than not have it on a BC system but that's just me. If you're doing Game Pass there's a case to be made having the disc drive does not matter. If you buy games potentially over ownership you could save enough on purchases to make up the cost of spending more on the X plus you get twice the storage.
