Slower GPU, CPU will be the same speed as SXPeople have been mentioned the Teraflops but they're forgetting or don't know that:
Performance improvements come from die shrinks, you can fit more in a smaller area
and if they redesigned how they execute specific operations, it performs more efficiently
clock for clock.
Variable Rate Shading, Dynamic Resolutions, Temporal Anti-aliasing and so on allow
for considerably more stable and better looking images than in generations past.
This is why Xbox One X and Ps4 Pro could go toe to toe with machines that were
many more times the cost, the experimentation to see if weaker hardware can
present stable images was already happening this generation.
Xbox Series S, realistically, is a phenomenal value.
Yes. The resolution will be lower.
And yes, it will have a slightly slower CPU and less memory.
I think the overall impact this will have on how games work on the
system will be minimal.
Damn good engineering, two times in a row.
Microsoft isn't playing around
$500 for the series X.... watch sony be like:
I haven't seen this video posted so I'm going to throw it in here.
Features the demonstrations for the software.
All things considered the entire system is clocked slower from the CPU to the MemorySlower GPU, CPU will be the same speed as SX
This is a scam, why not make the cheaper one a 100 dollars cheaper but without the cd drive and as powerful as the other one?
They boast cuz it’s small like anyone cares?
They want people to have a cheap option. Also, it's a good balance cost wise, as all you lose is some storage, 4K, and the disc drive. If you buy games digitally and don't care about 4K, it's a no brainer. This is a scam, why not make the cheaper one a 100 dollars cheaper but without the cd drive and as powerful as the other one?

Are you sure? All things considered the entire system is clocked slower from the CPU to the Memory
to the GPU.

3.6/3.4 vs. 3.8/3.6 (for the CPU)
Are you sure?
You could be right, hearing different things too in regards to 3.6 and 3.8Could be confusion between the different sources.
I've seen several say 3.6 (3.4 for smt) as the base clock for the CPU on
Series S and 3.8(3.6 for smt) as the base on series X (this is also
in the official reveal from the chief engineer).
Check the above video I posted where an Engineer states this at 1:25 seconds in.
