I always wondered about that shyt prior to Morrison's run. Only people who actually did any teaching was Xavier. All the rest just chilled waiting for a mission. Only ones that even tried to further their education and have a life outside the X-Men was Iceman, Beast, and Kitty. Xavier probably had some resentment with all these muties freeloading off his family's wealth.
That's why mofos arguments about Iceman being immature made no sense. Sh!t, he's one of the few X-Men that actually had a job and life outside of being a squatter like the rest of them. He's an accountant.
Who bankrolling all of this anyway? They got that big ass school, all the mouths to feed, cloth, water, electricity, then you add in price of training equipment

Warren is footing the bill, most recently, but at some point he had the mind of a child, so it was clearly abuse. And for the longest, he's been mentally unstable, so unless Betsy marries him, they can be taken to court.
