There's ways to do that move without actually hurting the other guy.

These guys just said fukk it lets break some necks for real.

Just look at how the Dudley Boys did the 3D finisher. Looks brutal but they protect their opponents the whole way through so they don't get hurt.

Yeah, it's very subtle but Bubba Ray actually uses his big body to cushion a lot of the impact to the opponent. That's why he's always the one catching the guy

That first one was nasty.

Pretty much why everyone uses the spear nowadays.

Yikes, problem is a lot of the wrestlers thought it was a normal flip slam so they already started flipping when dude grabbed their head

Look way safer to pull off than a DDT or stunner. You can control the fall with this. looks like it’s all shoulder in contact. They pull it off well.
:dahell: You have very little control of your fall while a DDT is one of the easiest moves to protect yourself in. And the Stunner is super safe, Austin's taking most of the bump

That's pretty rough. Always thought The Pedigree and The Tombstone was inches away from tragedy.
The original pedigree was dangerous as hell - HHH modified it after this:

Not really HHH's fault but he started letting go of the arms so the recipient can break their fall. The kneeling tombstone is actually easy to protect yourself with
