Why are we so good at the U17 and U20 and suck at the adult level competitions
Well there is the whole overage playing underage level.
Or much like England/Britain (I included Britain more for the track and field youth level) at a young age are more physically equipped at junior levels where athleticism, strength and speed overpower a lot of the slighter kids of other nations, who are better technically. But once everything is on a level playing field physically , the technique generally overcomes the athleticism side, unless you're able to combine the two.
Just like any sport athleticism can only take you so far, that's why you should always hone your technical and when you get the combination of athleticism and technique
you get the likes of Mayweather, Real Ronaldo, Jordan, C dot , Ward, Kobe, Lewis, etc...
