But nobody expected them to get such an easy ride though.

In what game did they ever exceed expectations? They beat shyte teams they where meant to beat and lost to a better team they where meant to lose to.

I think England have underachieved for so long they now think meeting expectations is some crazy acheivement.

This team could improve leaps and bounds and never make it this far again, their luck in the draw was incredible and won’t happen again.

Colombia was the only game that I thought they'd lose, that they ended up winning..and thats because James wasn't playing.

The team only scored like 3 goals from open play. Only Sterling and Lingard make runs consistently that can create scoring opportunities for themselves or draw defenders. England would be foolish to think they can continue playing this way and win a trophy.

England and Croatia are going to square off again in Euro qualifying on October 12th in Croatia and then again on November 18th at Wembley :ohhh:

This could lowkey turn into a big football rivalry

IMMIGRANT TETHERS

That's pretty ironic considering how they played against against Brazil :heh: Brazil straight outclassed them in every way possible, but it was just an own goal that separate them. On top of that France straight doubled them in chances created, shots and shots on targets. The game could have gone another hour and they still would never have scored.

fukk... the final is on 1am monday morning

fukk i hate Australia sometimes... in the middle of fukking nowhere

It's why I stopped following club football around 18. Once I had responsibilities it wasn't practical. fukk I look like staying awake from 1 - 3 am for 38 weeks a year to watch Premier League :mjlol:

The World Cup has always been different though, it's during uni holidays so I've got more free days. Plus it only happens every four years and you're only going to witness so many in your lifetime :manny: so you've just got to soldier through a few sleepless nights

You watch much A-league? I mind we played Brisbane roar a few years ago and toured Australia and it seemed like there’s some good clubs there.

The problem with the A-League is it's completely artificial and that's had a flow on effect on the national team.

Before 2005 we used to have the NSL, which was comprised mostly of ethnic teams. My local clubs are Marconi Stallions (Italian), Bossy Liverpool (Bosnian) and Bonnyrigg White Eagles (Serbian). These clubs have history and established links with the local area, but the A-League was purposefully created to remove the influence that ethnic clubs had on Australian football, because of bullshyt fears about rioting and violence and all that. So now they play in local leagues and have no pathway to the top flight. It's hard to feel any type of way about franchises like Sydney FC or Western Sydney Wanderers because they don't have any real community links or history.

Pretty much all of the Australian golden generation of footballers in the 90s and 00s came out of ethnic clubs. Christian Vieri and Harry Kewell started their careers at Marconi Stallions, Mark Viduka and Josip Simunic at Melbourne Croatia, Brett Emerton and Tim Cahill at Sydney Olympic (a Greek club), and so on.

Since the A-League switch the ethnic clubs have diminished in significance, and the talent has begun to dry up which reflects in the performance of the national team as well as the lack of Australian footballers playing at top European clubs. Our best player today plays for Crystal Palace, 20 years ago the majority played Champions League football.

Australia
literally just read this article haha

Football: A-League, Leroy George Melbourne Victory rant, transfer news | FOX SPORTS
You can run a p*ssy season in Australia and then still celebrate a championship.

“The players appreciate you automatically if you have qualities. I showed it immediately. If a mediocre football player comes in, of course it works very differently. I quickly found my turn in Australian football.

“With respect for the A-League, but the level is not very high. I made nice goals and given a lot of assists.”

France had 19 shots to Belgium's 9. Belgium played super defensive against Brazil too.

Though it is Hilarious its the English brehs posting quotes from the salty waffles. :mjlol:

Like it actually means something:mjlol:

Just hope Belgium don't decide to take out their frustration and spank England on Saturday

Hope Mbappe gets a hatrick in the final so a black man can finally have a golden boot:umad:

Would also mean he stole it from Kane which would just be:banderas:

Don't want the English to take nothing home but disappointment and mediocrity. No golden boots, no 3rd place medal, no fairplay awards, no Russian pawgs, nothing:banderas:

Inshallah:banderas:

Not even Muslim:banderas:

I'm hating hardcore:noah:
