2008 Euro's 1 goal and eliminated in the quarterfinals.
2010 WC 1 goal and eliminated in the quarterfinals.
2012 Euro's 3 goals and eliminated in the semi's.
2014 WC 1 goals and didn't make it out of group play.

2016 Euro's. He won it all, but only had 3 goals and didn't do anything in the final due to injury.

He's an all-time goat and has scored many goals, but tournament goals have not come at the rate of qualifying goals for him.

This might finally be him really dragging them to greatness.
