And that is the first half. The U.S. started off great but then faded a little bit towards the end. Japan was able to settle down and establish a bit of rhythm before the end of the half. I don't expect the U.S. to give up 3 goals in the second half but they have to be aggressive and to not let Japan establish their passing game which leads to quick strikes on goal.

I don't know why the U.S. is dropping back so much. Yes it's 4-1 lead but keep the pressure going.

Can't maintain that intensity in a final for too long. They have to play in burst. They'll be back in the 2nd and when they make subs.

They get tired and Japan will open them up. It's hard to defend a team like Japan who can make the ball do all the work. Better off being organized and picking their spots. Japan are really like Barcelona in 2009.

Someone find my quote about a week ago wherein I said the USA needs to move Carli Lloyd up and into the attacking mid position. She's the most creative midfield player on the team. Very technical and smooth.
