That BP stimulus got these studios changing history to make a dollar off us :scust:
. fukk the historical facts of what they really did. This might be the first case of reverse blackwashing :dead:

What’s next….

The KKK: All-American Heroes. :rudy:

IMAGINE THEM TAKING
SOME POSITIVE ASPECT
OF HITLER/NAZIS AND TURNING
IT INTO A MOVIE THAT HAD NOTHING
TO DO WITH THE HOLOCAUST.

THE JEWS WHO RUN HOLLYWOOD
WOULD NEVER LET IT GET OFF THE
GROUND AND BAN ANYONE
WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA.

Movie was dope. Reading the comments in here about this kingdom is sobering. The movie does acknowledge their role though.

ACKNOWLEDGE LIKE HOW?

DID IT SAY THEY SOLD HUNDREDS
OF THOUSANDS OF SLAVES?

DID IT SAY THEY CONTINUED
TO SELL SLAVES AFTER BRITAN
ABOLISHED SLAVERY?

Yes. It acknowledged the kingdoms major role in the slave trade.

No. I don't recall it addressing times after the period depicted.

It did not forgive or overlook selling captives to Europeans or Americans.

It was okay as a movie, the action scenes were on point and the story was emotional but I can see it being ripped apart later for historical inaccuracies.

I did not know about the Dahomey history. It is not taught in NY. NOR was it taught to me in my studies in Alabama or Virginia.

Sobering...why? The movie appeared to be honest but I did not approach it critically.
