Shows set in New Orleans get too caught up in trying to portray the city and they miss out on character development, intriguing storylines, etc.

Examples are Treme and KTown (short lived show on Fox)

Ktown was a great show for the short run it had

lead actors were great playing off each other
i was like WTF are they talking about, then i started thinking about new orleans shows on fox and remembered the anthony anderson one and that was KVILLE.

Nah it was perfect in b more. New Orleans streets don’t have the same atmosphere that the wire was built on.
Which season do you think could be most adapted to New Orleans? I could see Season 3 (or whichever one with the kids as the focus) being good.

Yea season 4 with the kids woulda been crazy. The one with the kids kinda been told on most inner cities also.

I think the whole thing could be pulled off down here. But the street politics with bosses and crews just so different down here, it would been such a different show lol.

like New Orleans is never that organized. Just straight craziness. Ogs and bosses getting killed all the time. Nobody really caring about leadership and all that

Funny you talk about this show, I thought I'd give it a chance for the third time a few days ago. Just need to get past the first episodes but that's not easy :francis: shyt is boring as hell.

Season 3 and 4 are the best. You should watch the first several episodes of S3, then go back to S1. It'll motivate you to learn all the characters and storylines, because it's all connected.

Baltimore
Baltimore has plenty of white fiends. Pigtown, Westport, Brooklyn, Dundalk has plenty. I don't doubt what you're saying, but to the level that you're implying, I don't think so. But, yes, I've personally seen White fiends from out of town. Just not regularly.

I never sold drugs tho :yeshrug:

Absolutely. I grew up in Baltimore, so I've seen junkies in every color.

They definitely do. Especially from MOCO. You think all those white fiends all over the city are actually from here? There’s some that come all the way from West Virginia

They be coming from the Eastern Shore too. Bmore is a really big and convenient market for them out there. Never underestimate the appetite of a fiend.

Nah Baltimore was the perfect setting.
I wouldn't be shocked if DOPE is one of the top 5 employers in that city.

Plus the creator of the wire already produced another show set in new orleans
