Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
I feel like the show would've been a million times better, if that's even possible :mindblown:

The one character missing from the show was the soul of the city. New Orleans would've provided that :ohlawd: Granted, Katrina.... I know :francis:

You looking too much into this. It would have been the same shyt if it were in New Orleans.

Half the Stars or maybe even more than half weren’t even from Baltimore. Lots of them were New Yorkers or non Baltimore folks.

Only difference would have been instead of rowhomes there would be a bunch of shot gun homes lmao.

Stick with it. Worth the grind of the first few episodes.

Like someone else touched on, the two creators both worked in Baltimore. One worked a newsroom and the other was a homicide detective and then a schoolteacher. They wrote what they knew; that's what makes the show great. New Orleans and it's idiosyncrasies wouldn't have been as good a fit. Baltimore is a better metaphor for most large US cities, and why the issues translate easily from place to place. There's nowhere else like New Orleans. That place is just a force of nature unto itself.

There's no city like Baltimore. Even the cities that are less than 100 miles from it aren't anything like it.

It wouldn't have been the same. You can most definitely tell who's not from Baltimore; unlike everywhere else, you can't replicate the Baltimore accent. You can't be the best actor in the world, and it would never work

What does the DMV have to do with have to with The Wire and Baltimore? :birdman:

I know fiends weren't driving from the DMV to Baltimore just for the heroin.

:rudy:

You don’t know shyt about buckets then

If you have the number 1 product out fiends are willing to relocate and move they whole scheming operation to that town to get a taste of that
:wtf:

The better question would’ve been who had the Better of drugs .. But too many tekashi’s out here to have that convo and to some folks they might perceive the conversation as glorification.

They definitely do. Especially from MOCO. You think all those white fiends all over the city are actually from here? There’s some that come all the way from West Virginia

Would have preferred it was set in New York. Except for Stringer and Marlo, all of the drug dealers in this were janky.
