Yea … that shyt was a revelation.
The opening scene of the whole season was Snoop buying that nail gun in the hardware store. When I think about it, that might be the most dramatic “plant and payoff” in television/cinema I’ve ever seen.

That season was dark, heart wrenching, and masterful.

(I love season 3 too for that epic Avon vs. Stringer dynamic, and stylish cinematography)
