But what is the point of punishing him further and further if both Rock didn't want Will to face any consequences AND Will apologized both the same night and the following day in a formal apology.

He might be back out from the next couple of shows.

Do they? I don't want to take it there... because this is obviously nothing like the violence administered against black men everyday, but it feels eerily analogous. That imagery, bruh.
