The D (where it's so cold)
Nintendo can't go head up in a console arms race with companies who are willing to lose billions on game consoles on the front end. Sony and Microsoft are not gaming companies they just have gaming divisions of a larger company. Nintendo doesn't make the operating system in your PC or your next TV or digital camera. All Nintendo does is make games so loosing billions on games and having other divisions of the company bail your ass out of the fire is not an option.

from that standpoint Nintendo tried to innovate and develop ideas that didn't cost as much and set them apart from their competition. the problem with the Wii U is it was forced to launch ahead of the other consoles because its weaker and because if it came out with them they would steal it's thunder. the software isn't there right now. its like the Playstation Vita in some respects but its actually better off because at some point the Wii U will get software that sells systems. the Vita is something Sony will have to carry alone and their arms aren't that strong.

Well, if these developers move onto Unreal Engine 4 and the WiiU is still on UE3, where will games come from?

Vita is outselling Wii u

Sent from royalty using Tapatalk breh
They cut their price so this that was going to happen. That doesn't change the fact that the Vita is still a joke.
the sad thing is i have 730 club nintendo coins and not quite enough to get the club nintendo swag that i really want, but not enough nintendo products i want to buy anymore
There's nothing of worth on Club Nintendo. They should consider giving ppl the option of converting those coins into Wii points for games.

They're definitely trolling right now.
But I'm more pissed about Mother 2 still not being released in NA.
You wanna explain this post? :ld:
Maybe talk about how the sales for the Vita went down the drain after its launch. Or how the marketing for it has been terrible and it taking it damn near a year to find some type of footing.

The year 3030
i want that game and watch collection DS game. of

You getting it to play or collect? If it's the former...both are pretty wack in terms of an actual game (2 is worse than 1 though)...way overpriced...the G&W ball shyt is nice though...I have that shyt on display along with some other club nintendo shyt I bought and all the Plat prizes so far.

I do like how they offer some (3)DSware/VC games as shyt to buy now...I bought a good portion of them w/ the coins...the other shyt I couldn't care less about...been tempted w/ that shirt though.

Just HOW delusional are you? lol Nintendo is about to be in a worse position than they were at the end of the gamecube run, but without the core audience paying much attention to them. Do you realize how bad this is? LMFAO @ how out of touch you are with technology. Do you like to be wrong? Nintendo was thinking short term with the Wii and "won" the generation, but lost so much more in the process. The fact that they even called this pos they have on the market the Wii U is mind boggling to me

Again you're an idiot.

NTDOY Nintendo Company, Ltd. ADR PINX:NTDOY Stock Quote Price News

Wii was released in 2006....it wasn't mildly successful it was wholly successful. As you can see by the stock price of Nintendo, the subsequent fall was due to the overall gaming/software marking falling off, which you can see in stocks of gamespot and other gaming retail companies.

The continued fall of the stock price is the Wii-U failing to sell. The Wii was profitable by large margins compared to MS and Sony, which basially operate at a loss. Nintendo tried with the Wii-U to somehow compete int he same segment as MS and Sony, which is idiotic and they should have kept going after the casual market and getting the hardware in the homes and then building around that.

As someone said, they are a supplementary hardware but they could have changed that by slowly releasing items that would work with the casual audience instead of going back to the hardcore gaming market....more people play games on their phone or facebook nowadays then console game.

Nintendo has to stop launching systems without a main Mario or Zelda game

Well it did launch with a Mario game but the real problem is the system feels like it came out too late if you get what I mean. When you pick up the tablet controller, it's not something novel. It's something you've probably seen for the past few years. Hell cell phones been able to do the whole asymmetrical thing for years. That's already a wasted opportunity because that isn't convincing enough to deter gamers away from PS3/360 games for WiiU versions.

Next up you have the issue of the hardware being outdated. I played a demo of the Sonic and All Stars racing and was disgusted at how ugly it looked. Now had I played it for PS3/360 and it looked the same that'd be reasonable given how old the hardware is. Now you look back and realize you're in 2013 and are using a product that is months old and it has graphics that are on par with consoles that came out almost 8 years ago.

It's like me spending $400 on a phone and it's specs are somewhat akin to a N-gage or old ass boost mobile phone but because it has some weird gimmick, it caused the price to be so high. That's the WiiU in a nutshell. Had this system came out in 06 it would've been straight but the system came out too damn late.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..

:troll: hardly ever. I had a wii but god damn I couldn't tell you how that shyt was kicked to the side when I had a real system next to it. Hell even the 360 at times was funner to play than the Wii. Only good games on the Wii are Mario Galaxy, Smash bros and Mario Kart.

Dont forget Donkey Kong Country Returns g...lol...I basically used my Wii as a Gamecube..lol

you realize you are just repeating what I've been saying? I think the Wii was a bad gamble because it was short sighted vision by Nintendo...the Wii U not selling is proving my point you fukking moron. The casuals were not going to buy a Wii U no matter what Nintendo did...in fact many thought it was just a controller for the Wii. A majority of the core audience is NOT buying the Wii U because of the direspect. Changing things up for the casuals and expecting to buy into it on a gen by gen cycle is ridiculously stupid...this is not a casual market...its a gamer market.

Casuals go for cell phones these days, but of course you wouldn't understand that. I bet the nextbox and ps4 bench the Wii U sales easy if they can keep up with demand by month 1.
