The Wii U should be defunct by now.

This is what they get for shytting on the core gaming audience

They DISRESPECTED us

you know you don't know what you're talking about. The cor gaming audience is a small and fickle bunch. Nintendo made a great casual gaming product in the Wii then tried to make an Xbox with a dreamcast controller....it was a foolish move. Should have made a Wii II and just updated the graphics to compete with the next gen and made a "core gaming audience" controller as an accessory. Core gamers may or may not have bought it but at least you keep your current casual audience which is > core gamers

I love when people start with saying the underlined and then just talk so much bs :deadrose:

Yeah they made a great casual gaming product and sold like hotcakes but more then half the people bought maybe 2-3 total that didn't come in some kind of bundle or needed accessories and the Wii was left collecting dust in most homes. The most sold game that didn't come with the Wii or needed accessories is #8 of best sold games on the Wii. Nintendo knows (and most gamers) that they couldn't really make a Wii 2 because the people that bought the Wii don't see a reason to buy Wii 2 because they have a Wii and the games they like (Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Play, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Wii Fit) because those games don't need to be in HD.

The problem with the WiiU is that Nintendo don't seem to know what their target audience is or they want best of both worlds.

You're a fool, I'm so tired of talking market shyt with morons. Like, do you even know why people buy new cellphones when the core functions (calling, texting, checking email) hasn't changed? Or why people are buying blue-ray dvds instead of just copping regular dvds? You bring out a Wii 2 with better graphics and the same people who bought the Wii 1 will upgrade their hardware..that's all the had to do. They have alienated both sides with the Wii-U. As far most sold games #, Nintendo was still the most profitable during an era where software was in contraction, because they sold more units of hardware and their 1st party software sold well.

Why break the model that had you winning since NES? AS someone mentioned before Gamecube I believe was just as profitable (if not more) than Ps2. Wii > *. They had the blueprint and for whatever reason they strayed away from it.

The people that wanted the upgrade bought a kinect which has the same stupid ass games so they already have that HD stuff.

Also loving the fact the you are literary the only person online and offline who thinks Nintendo should've stayed casual and it would be more profitable then going for the core.

The WiiU problem is that it isn't core enough so far and casuals don't care anymore even tho Nintendo thought that sticking a tablet on it would fix that.

The D (where it's so cold)
This whole Wii era of Nintendo has been forgettable. There immediate focus should be working on a name for the next next gen console that's as far from Wii as possible.

Just HOW delusional are you? lol Nintendo is about to be in a worse position than they were at the end of the gamecube run, but without the core audience paying much attention to them. Do you realize how bad this is? LMFAO @ how out of touch you are with technology. Do you like to be wrong? Nintendo was thinking short term with the Wii and "won" the generation, but lost so much more in the process. The fact that they even called this pos they have on the market the Wii U is mind boggling to me

You have to understand something about 7oclock...he is a stan and really doesn't analyze all factors except what he thinks makes business sense. When he sees the majority of the gaming community shytting on Nintendo he immediately feels the need to :cape: and claim the people who buy the console with 1 or 2 games is more important than people like us who buy the consoles and anywhere from 10-30 games per gen. The market has changed and Nintendo has been stubborn in adjusting...they HAVE to

NZA is a level headed Nintendo Stan...he realizes wtf is going on right now.

Nintendo can't go head up in a console arms race with companies who are willing to lose billions on game consoles on the front end. Sony and Microsoft are not gaming companies they just have gaming divisions of a larger company. Nintendo doesn't make the operating system in your PC or your next TV or digital camera. All Nintendo does is make games so loosing billions on games and having other divisions of the company bail your ass out of the fire is not an option.

from that standpoint Nintendo tried to innovate and develop ideas that didn't cost as much and set them apart from their competition. the problem with the Wii U is it was forced to launch ahead of the other consoles because its weaker and because if it came out with them they would steal it's thunder. the software isn't there right now. its like the Playstation Vita in some respects but its actually better off because at some point the Wii U will get software that sells systems. the Vita is something Sony will have to carry alone and their arms aren't that strong.
