always sucks when young athletes die
I feel sad for Reggie Lewis...he died because of something he couldnt control
Len Bias, however, took his own life.
I feel sympathy for his family, but breh, you just got drafted #1 to the NBA....you celebrate in your dorm room by smoking a crack rock?
Granted, you didnt know you would overdose, but still....wtf?
Why?
I thought he overdosed on Cocaine?
Didn't Reggie Lewis also use cocaine? I may be wrong but I remember reading that may have aggravated his heart condition?I feel sad for Reggie Lewis...he died because of something he couldnt control

Idk about thisIf Reggie wouldn't have died the Celtics would have never went through that down period in the 90's that they did. He was a baller and just entering his prime years when he was taken away so suddenly.
Sucks when the young die, period.always sucks when young athletes die

Loss of obvious potential always bothers people more...which is why athlete and young student death bothers more than a young gangster or drug addict. Their tragedy was realized when their life went awry. Lewis and bias were right at the cusp of greatness which is tougher to stomach.Exactly, being a good athlete doesn't make your death any more tragic.
