Finally finished off Uncharted:Golden Abyss. It was fine for what it was. Its the worst uncharted game easily. But for on the go gaming it was enjoyable. Being able to use the six axis for shooting made the headshots easy. The vita controls were shoe horned in. The qte swipe boss battles were tedious. story was passable, dialogue was on point though.

7.5/10

Been on a heavy vita kick lately.

Finished geometry wars 3. I will never get tired of twin stick shooters. It's just such an enjoyable style of game. I loved the variation in missions. But I felt graphically it was a bit boring and the music was far too reptitive. Game play was addictive simple and fun.

50? :merchant:

Congrats on the promotion :salute:
~4 years ago I was homeless
~3 years I attempted suicide

Then I struggled with addiction and depression since then.

But this last 1 and a half years I been working my as off and got so far ahead.

I actually quit my job that I worked with oculus rift less than 2 months ago. I had to sign ndas so I can't say much but we were contracted to them work with game developers.

They promised me a promotion, even verbally agreed to it. Then 3 days before I was supposed to start at the new position they backed out and made excuses. I quit on the spot outta pride.

But I found another place within 3 days. Now I'm in the medical Marijuana industry :takedat: business is rapidly expanding here. I interviewed for 1 job, they hired me for a different hire paying job. Then less than 5 weeks in they promoted me and I got 14 people directly under me . Leap frogged people that been here years. They salty :banderas:

I know about depression, addiction, and mental issues. I'm a very depressed person myself and have thought about killing myself numerous times. Eventually they found out I was bi-polar and now I'm on meds that help out. Still, it hits me hard sometimes. :mjcry:

Glad you were able to get past your troubles. It's hard out there. I know firsthand too :mjcry:

Anyway, congrats

It's an every day struggle. Been diagnosed with chronic depression. It's been over 20 years now. shyts hard. And people don't comprehend what it's like.

It's every fukking day. I've had therapy, pills etc. It'll always be there with me. Nothing will ever cure it.

But I keep pushing. Keep your head up though I know how it goes.

People don't understand what it's like at all.

No they don't. Once you tell somebody you are bi-polar, they get all weird on you. People just don't understand. It's a damn shame. But yeah, it's an everyday struggle. I'm on tons of meds (anti-anxiety, anti-psychotics, antidepressants, etc.). They help out most of the time, but not always (plus I'm zonked out with this serequal). I once had a manic episode at my old job, which got me going crazy :heh:

I used to work for the gov, but once they found out I was bi-polar, I couldn't work for them anymore, because of security clearance issues. I was trained to do intelligence work, and it went all down the drain. :to: At least I finally got my Ph.D., and have found a somewhat good job (I'm looking for a better one at the moment though).

Anyway, people don't understand mental health issues. It's a damn shame. It's always good to hear success stories though
