I don’t talk to cacsBecause I enjoyed this album and don't agree with the folks that were only in tuned with his early music? Callowness remains undefeated here.
You can't be contrarian on this site because you'll be labeled a white man. That's fine. I've been here for over 20 years. I've heard it all and received all the slander. But I'll still let you hang out with me, lil fella.
Trill spill, i'm wearing a blazer to work today feeling fresh as hell bumping this album as we speak
Can't tell me shiit right now. I feels so fukkin' good!
Dawn FM is a modern day classic pop record. The sequencing here alone makes it better than any thing on his trilogy/HOB.
.
I didn't hear it in the beats or vocals. I some 80s R&B and Tory sound more like the pop, imo. Dawn FM had much more 80s R&B/House kinda feel while not coming off as a complete clone from that era.Yeah, I get that... but it’s still going to have a R&B feel, bit more soul to his style. Even the way he delivers the vocals.
shyt is decent
Some songs are trash
Some are fire
He swung hard with this
He cant make the coked up abusive vampire music anymore
Which was his best
In this era, as long as you are brave enough to be "different" you are seen as a hero.
They're so desperate for something new, they'll take anything as a classic.
The more I listen to this album, the more I get bored of it.
There's not 1 catch song on this album.
Even pop fans don't really want to dip into the synthwave genre that deep. They'll fukk with a Blinding Lights, but not something this 80's synth heavy.I mean he was piggybacking on the Retro synth-wave sound that was already popping for years, but just did it to it's grandest stage with big time production sound. Casual pop listeners who never heard this typa shyt before will eat it up, but it's really nothing here after you spin it a couple times...
This synth style goes against his strengths of Harsh lyrics, clean vocals and dark tense music.the trick has been played out
when it was fresh & new it hit harder
but bro can't hide behind production visuals & weird esoteric themes forever
vocals ain't like that & the songwriting ain't elevating
