Not feeling this one at all. I think I prefer Kiss Land over this. Really disappointing. Clear leap for the mainstream, which I wouldn't mean when it's executed well, like Can't Feel My Face, but some of these other songs just don't feel Weeknd-esque and are a bit toothless and too polished.

Not trash. But a step down for sure.

I saw this coming as soon as I heard belong to the world. Even then I was like :dahell: cause I couldn't think he would ever make songs like that or get on beats like that.

But I like Prisoner a lot. Lana killed it.
I hear you.....i can see why you like the trilogy more but n1ggaz have to accept he can't keeping making the same music with the same sound, the boys surroundings have changed and the new music reflect that, still solid imo :manny:

I got a brand new place, I think I've seen it twice all year
I can't remember how it looks inside, so you can picture how my life's been
I went from starin' at the same four walls for 21 years
To seein' the whole world in just twelve months

It's not that. I expect the adjustment. But to be fair he's not even writing his own music anymore. He's bought into fame, which is different than just writing about his life now.

He wrote trilogy in full. And he's writing id say about 45 percent of his music now.

The lyrics are still dark and gritty (some). But the sound is different. The sound is poppy. Doesn't mean he's not a good artist anymore. I just wish we had more music from him at his peak.

I would have liked at least 2 albums with his OG content//sound before going POp like this.

That's just me :manny:

Part of me can't be mad at him for getting this fame money though, like the internet liked him and all before but the internet also likes a lot of nikkas who don't get paychecks. As far as his lyrical content I mean how many songs about the same shyt could he make before we all tuned him out?
