Not sure what all the complaining is about. Show's been good since they decided to stop straying from the comics. Somebody in this thread tried to say FTWD got something right.........no....FTWD gets NO PRAISE. shyt's trash with trash writing.

Bottle episodes is what's causing the drop in ratings. Not saying they don't work, one of my favorite episodes was Clear, the one that brought back Morgan.

But, for example, Jesus and Carl got into one of the Saviors trucks at the end of the last episode, but we won't see them in the next episode at all :martin:

I'm all for character development but some of these can be condensed, we don't really need a whole episode of only Kingdom, Hilltop, and Tara/Heath. Game of Thrones does it correctly.

That's what happens when they leave people with a cliffhanger like they did and literally market the entire new season around "who got killed in the finale?"

Everyone tunes out after the reveal. Instead of giving an emotionally impact finale, and leaving people traumatized and sad, and ready to see how things are handled next season, they decided to play the short game. Lots of people called this. It was such a stupid decision. They did nothing to make people interested in this season. All they did was show people "Look, there's also a tiger this season." Even if they didn't do that they could've been okay, but IMO the season premier reveled in the violence just to revel in it. It didn't even seem that emotionally impactful.

I've watched TWD since day 1, and yes, I've groaned about the show sometimes, but I've continued watching. I finally tapped out after episode 2 of this season. Westworld has just been so good, and TWD has seemed so much worse in comparison (just my opinion) that I gave up on watching both and picked WW.

But yea.. this was bound to happen. Should have been no more than 5-6 seasons max. Show doesn't need to be a 10 season show.

Kirkman giving Invincible an ending, but not Walking Dead. :snoop:
The funny thing is I can see the show going past 10 seasons.

Do they actually have any plans to end it? I know it's been renewed for a season 7 and season 8. I bet they just keep going.

It wouldn't be too out of the realm imo for the walkers to have a character with a functioning brain.

Not saying he would have powers or be a leader but he/she would be an offshoot/hybrid/anomaly in the TWD lore. Revealing a character like this in a season finale would be a bigger cliffhanger and have more intrigue than finding out who's going to get merked in the season opener. This is the route you have to take imo if you're going to keep stretching the show into 6 seasons or more. Evolve a walker or two. That would be :ohhh:

Kirkman doesn't have a ending for the comic :yeshrug:
Exactly, which part of why I see the show going on forever.

On the other hand, I think there's validity to people that say that TV and comics are different art forms, and comics aren't even always meant to end, and TV shows are. So I do think TWD show should at least start to steer itself towards an end game.
