Wouldnt say it was fine before rethugs attacked it...
The writing is on the all for its mail service.

I thought when the discussions of adding banking and what not were going around it was clear the service was dying and wouldnt be sustainable alone.

So the USPS hasn't reported a profit since Congress passed and forced on it the PAEA? Is there prove that this is correlation and not causation?

Agreed… but lift the monopoly and allow the private sector services to compete.:sas1:

No reason to maintain a monopoly of no one else will offer a superior service.:sas2:
This is bad faith. People explained how this is a sabotage situation. The postal service is a “service” not a business and is one of the few ways the country interacts as a country in spite it’s size and different state governments laws and mandates.

The whore politicians who run this country might forget that as they chase the bag for their own wealth.

It’s a monopoly… there’s nothing to compare it to.

surely you aren’t against Americans potentially receiving better service from the private sector:leostare:

It's a monopoly isn't an excuse. If you live in NYC and mailed a letter to somewhere in NJ and it took 3 months, that's subpar service. If you ship Christmas presents from Boston to Colorado every year for 3 years and they are always lost, that's subpar service. You don't need a competitor to determine that.

You haven't defined what better or superior service is. But since you said you can't say what subpar service because it's a monopoly. I'd be surprised if you can define superior service, since there's nothing to compare it to. In your words.

If and how the private sector would innovate and redefine the industry is anyones guess.
Blockbuster was great until Netflix…
Superior service doesn’t mean the current service sucks.

If the fear is usps would die in a competitive market then we are doing the people a disservice maintaining its monopoly.

Lol@ignoring that the USPS is responsible for mail in ballots. This is all another election ploy. We arguing profitability for a service funded by the gob that has specific duties. We have been duped, and the powers that be will do nothing in the way of punishment. The constitution is a meaningless piece of paper :manny:

The bolded alone invalidates most right wing talking points.
