I strongly support labor unions, the right to strike is essential and core for workers. Unions should get their fair wages and benefits.

She out of office until Monday. I know they are only striking at SOME factories. Bowling Green, where the Vettes are built isnt one of them but even if my spec is built on schedule, thats only the build. Car would sit on the lot for however long the strike takes to get settled.

The car carriers for the Big 3 won't cross the picket line into the plants to pick up the built cars, you might be waiting awhile. Most of those car carrier drivers are also unionized.

Edit: the UAW is staggering what plants they want to strike; they're targeting the Big 3's most profitable vehicles first. Bowling Green might be way down on the list since GM doesn't make a ton off the Corvettes like they do the pick up trucks, Tahoe's, Suburbans, etc.

most these workers don’t support biden, so i doubt he gives a shyt. one could argue, considering the pro-trump leanings among the union’s leadership, that this is a calculated effort to hurt biden. that is, if you’re into conspiracy theories.

Nah. The contract expired today. This was gonna happen regardless of the president.

Also during the mandatory UAW presentation during orientation (for GM anyway) they show a video basically encouraging workers to vote for pro-union politicians. The video shows mostly Dems.
