Knowing who to talk to, technical expertise etc...They will end up rehiring most of the same people.

100% agree with you. It's just they go at the big fish when often times union leadership is who you should have beef with for accepting shytty deals.
It's similar to what's going on with WGA and SAG strike. People were pointing out Bob Iger's salary, but that aint the main culprit in all this. You gotta press your union leadership to fight for your interests. We all know corporation's are gonna emphasize profit and shareholder satisfaction over the employees compensation and well-being. But unfortunately people don't educate themselves or mobilize until strikes are imminent
FTR: i'm a union member for another TV/Film union that isn't on strike
Democrats lean towards pro-Union. Republicans lean against. @Windows 91 your post was confusing my guy. If you think a strike will help Republicans I can tell you horror stories about the great red state of Louisiana.Yep. The plant here in TN that makes the Lyriq still working for now.
Nah. The contract expired today. This was gonna happen regardless of the president.
Also during the mandatory UAW presentation during orientation (for GM anyway) they show a video basically encouraging workers to vote for pro-union politicians. The video shows mostly Dems.
Better to fight back if you have avenues than to just let yourself get fukked over. You can tell folks who have a fighting spirit in here.I mean this is the risk of strikes.. Certain plants/people won't always make it
They'll just try and hire someone cheaper and willing to do the work
They're going to try moving even more production to Mexico off this
That’s a lie…at least on the national level.
Teamsters, UAW funded numerous campaigns during the civil rights era
I know the construction unions in NYC, Philly, Chicago were historically racist. Irish, Italian, poles had them unions in a death gripAccording to this book I read, the two-tier pay system was created for black union workers to get paid at a lesser rate than whites..
Blacks had to basically have separate union representation..
They ain't really fukk wit us like that
This karma for automakers inflating these prices for record profits
It's ending production anyway so I wouldn't be surprised if they cut the production run short due to this. Sidenote: if you have a ZL1 1LE I'd keep it stock, as that car (and the former Z28) will be collectibles.nikkas won't be getting they Camaros
