Making a thread just to bash fat people is kind of petty and lame tbh.

That said, I wouldn't have a problem with airlines requiring passengers over a certain size to pay for bigger seats. Seems fair since it technically takes more fuel to transport a heavier person.

My mother calls me out when I gain like 6lbs. Ionno how she’s around her mother/family and they accept someone in their 20s being that size.

I remember I gained the freshman 15 and my aunt from NY was in town. I excitedly ran upstairs to see her. I walked in the room and she said “what happened to you? No one told you how you look?” :mjlol:

I was 18 so they were being sensitive. Leave it to my NY aunt to be like “No you need to tell her. Listen, you can’t do that. You’re young. Take the weight off.”

She was right, tho :yeshrug:

People just setting their kids up for failure letting them get to that size.
It simply isn’t healthy.

So are you “in shape“ or “comfortable” with the weight you have ?

youre cool all the time so i imagine you as a big girl.. which I ain’t shyt for

250 lb woman: Airlines are fatphobic. I can't fit in the seats. Make them bigger.

Airlines: Okay we'll make the seats bigger.

350 lb woman: The new bigger seats are fatphobic and aren't made for people my size.

Airlines: :what:

Fat people shouldn't be a social class. Lose weight or stfu. Literally no one has a fear of them but fatphobic is somehow a thing:hhh:

Surprise, obesity is not normative or convenient. It's not convenient to your health or lifespan. It's not convenient to traveling up a flight of stairs, much less an airplane flight. This shouldn't be surprising and is one of many reasons it's a good idea to lose weight.

Mind you, when you hear "discrimination in medical care" what they really mean is "my doctor asked to weigh me and told me my life decisions and personal habits are having negative effects on my health." A doctor's job isn't to tell you everything is great, see you next year. We know for a fact that excess fat has negative impact on your heart. It makes your body work harder, which makes you sweat more and get tired more easily and strain your entire system. It leads to high blood pressure and hyper tension...you know, things that are killing black people. Especially black women.
