I gave up on this ten minutes into the second episode. The writing was terrible and everything was over-the-top dramatic with Nicole Kidman.

When she was talking to her son in her bedroom about her husband not checking in and the convo went something like:

Kidman: "I've tried calling and email..."

Son: "Maybe he doesn't have internet?"

You would call and text...who wouldn't have access to internet in a city the size of Cleveland where the dad was supposed to be. Just god-awful writing. :hhh:

When she went with the cops to the precinct without a lawyer I turned it off. :hubie:

Glad some of you are enjoying it but not for me and not touching season one of Big Little Lies. :hubie:
My girl had all these same gripes :mjlol: she not really fukking with it but watching it cuz I like it now

As soon as she brought that violin case out, I knew what was going to be in it.

If they go the “dad takes the blame” route, I’ll be disappointed.

And to go way off base, I’ll throw it out there that the wife has memory loss, and also had an affair with the mistress, and forgot, then killed her and forgot.

Yeah, they do weird camera tricks trying to show she's not completely sane or something but it has yet to be verbalized.

I like the fashion, the setting, and the scenery, the cinematography is gorgeous, but what a mess of a D list beach read thriller. That last episode, that soapy, absurd court scene, the preposterous solution dangled to the audience.

I wouldn't be surprised if they went the amnesia Mom route for the final twist, as long as they are using cheap cliches out of genre fiction from a decade ago, maybe throw in a twin for good measure. But, yes, the damaged, sociopathic _______has been used in such slop as A.J Finn's the Woman In the Window from 2018, and other lowbrow plots with high brow packaging.

Someone make this make sense

It could be one of three things:

The husband who shows no remorse really did kill her
The wife who isn't telling the truth about her personal interaction killed her and has her own problems with memory loss which explains her random flashback visions
The son who wants to keep the family together and knew about the affair killed her
