They are out there trust me, but I feel you, the bond you can share through music just embellishes a relationship, enhances and intensifies the bond you can share with your partner cause music is such a passion. People say the best relationships are like when you have an element of friendship too and I agree, at the very least be able to share things with eachother and help eachother learn, grow, develop, progress. shyt is like....

Lol, I know a bunch of friends in real life who share a great passion and knowledge for music. They would love that in a partner. Even on here there's many men with a passion and knowledge for music, even in this thread.

Remember reading some of the things @PlutoEighth and @The Beast posted too and they seem to have an in depth knowledge and passion for music.

Even with friends I like it when you're able to discuss, debate, appreciate music, cause it's such a huge passion for me it helps formulate some good friendships cause you always have something to talk about (extra). I remember Hip Hop music being a part of several memories in terms of friendships and even past relationships, remember like what songs were being played when and all sorts. Music is like the soundtrack to one's life in a way if you love it, and you can create your own playlist lol.

Lol we have very interesting similarities and tastes, it's really dope and encouraging to see, especially within a sea of so much ignorance and hatefulness, it's very positive and pleasant to have some actually positive productive conversations.

I remember hearing Lowkey when he was very young, maybe even just 18, he had potential but he grew A LOT as an artist, and an MC actually and the album I recommended to you was very solid and a leap forward from his previous.

Again, this is very interesting, I have done in DEPTH study of Malcolm, simply out of interest, but like serious depth lol. I could probably write a book on Malcolm lol. That's very heart warming to see, your thirst for knowledge and passion for music, very admirable. And again the same with me, I would probably say I am agnostic but I can take certain things from different belief systems as something of interest/knowledge, cause truths within many. Yeah the brother had a lot of pain, suffering and struggle but he got through and made a great success of himself, and that is inspirational and motivational....

On that note.......

This thread was deep....

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/the-...use-his-heart-bleed-on-his-sleeve-nas.292566/

That's a very beautiful story, thanks for sharing. Isn't it amazing how music has that power? It's like magic lol or a best friend that is always there for you no matter what.

Yeah, Ali is a really good solid dude, am very pleased for him for all his success.

That's 1 of the qualities that draws me to Ali as an artist, the purity and the heart.

I love that Dead Prez song and that mixtape was fire. My senior year of high school soundtrack. Oh the memories....
And music is the soundtrack of my life. I definitely tag points in my life by what I was listening too. Even when it was the Backstreet Boys waaaay back in the day lol.

Yea and I fell in love with Malcolm so to speak. I went to speaking engagements, read every book I could find including the ones written by his daughters. That man has given me so much and I feel honored to have studied his life. And I'm in sync with you on the religion stuff. I take what I need and leave the rest for others to fight over. I follow a "spiritual" path but that shyt sounds corny to me when that discussion gets brought up. Basically I try to treat people how I want to be treated. And if they suck I try to stay away from em. lol

And can I ask you what agnostic is. I have heard atheism and agnostic thrown around (and usually together) but I've never really gotten an unbiased perspective. Or any real one for that fact.

And I started reading that thread and was blown away like I found a different side of this website. Like people are actually getting alone and speaking with respect :ohhh:. I had to catch myself lol.

Just sit down after making a green tea so gonna hit you with some more of those recommendations now lol...

Emanon...

If you know Aloe Blacc, he used to be in a group called Emanon, Exile was the producer, they were DOPE...

Gangstarr, particularly the Moment Of Truth album.

I mentioned KRS-One, and really he's such a legend you wanna check everything, but Return Of The Boom Bap, and the self titled KRS-One albums were DOPE...

Last Emperor

Brand Nubian...

Bahamadia, check the Kollage album out...

Afu Ra, Jeru The Damaja, Fashawn, Blu, Common...

Think I mentioned Dead Prez but definitely the Let's Get Free album, GREAT album...

Guru's solo work...

Kool Moe Dee, Kontext (particularly the I Am Legend Vol 1) project, great project...

Pharohe Monch, Papoose, Organized Konfusion, Ras Kass (particularly Soul On Ice & Blasphemy), Shyne's Gangland mixtape was an interesting project, some good content but with a G'd up edge, some spirituality in there...

Jedi Mind Tricks & Vinnie Paz...

Yeah there's some more there lol, so like you did before if you wanna bookmark it or whatever you can always revisit it when you want to.

Currently sipping my black tea lol

And I just got that Last Emperor album last week. Gotta spin it.

And thanks for that Emanon. I liked Aloe Blacc on the stuff he does with the Dirty Science crew but I pretty much hated his albums when he sang. This should be good. And speaking of them, do you ever listen to Co$$ (Cashus King)?

I love Fashawn, Common, Blu. And I think Guru has one of the dopest voices and flows of all time.

I will def check these other folks out:salute:

And did you like that Gangland project? I actually thought it was pretty dope and like how he mixed the content. He still sounded authentically like Shyne to me.

Dope, me too, that whole album is powerful. Classic to me. It's really powerful strong, intelligent, hard militant music, very relatable, it seemed like everyone I knew fukked with that album.

Yeah same too, I'm trying to find the Seventh Child book, that's 1 of the books I never managed to purchase, if you ever find out a way I can get it please let me know lol. What did you think of the Manning Marable Malcolm book?. Which 1 written by his daughters?. Yeah, I would say I'm spiritual but not religious....

Atheism is when you disbelieve in God, like your position is NO there's not a God. Agonistic is more like you don't know lol. So you are open minded. I'm willing to learn, I know there's so much about the world, life, and everything humans have a very limited understanding of, so I realize we don't know everything, there's still many mysteries and uncertainties to discover (or not lol). God is also a complex question cause then you get into what is God?.

Yeah, that was dope, there were some real and intelligent people in here, like yourself and some others, obviously there was also an abundance of ridiculous trolls, but they served a purpose this time so I guess they balanced the positive with their negative lol...

Great minds lol....

Really, which 1? Music, Myth and Magic? Or the Legend Of Bigfoot thing? Or something else?

For real lol, we have MAD similarities music wise, is really dope lol. I'm not as much a fan of his singing stuff either, loved him in Emanon when he was rapping, he was profound, content filled and a REALLY dope MC. I heard he's making a new Emanon album, so hopefully that comes to fruition too. No, but I will check out thanks to you, post a song if you want, might help put me on the right track.

Yeah, Guru's voice was DOPE....

I always really enjoyed and loved this tribute that was done to him too...

Felt like it was talking for me, and all Guru fans. I was very saddened when he passed away. A good brother and a great artist.

For real? Did you ever have a twin separated at birth? Lol jokes. But you are 1 of the FEW people I know who liked that album, that's really dope, I really enjoyed it, most people I know either haven't heard it or the people on here don't seem to like it. I found it enjoyable, entertaining and interesting.
