I love southern rap too (8Ball & MJG, UGK, Juvenile, Old Lil Wayne, Mannie Fresh, Waka, T.I., Goodie Mobb....I could go on forever) and I love West Coast gangster rap. But I like real gangster rap that had a substance and not just mindless violence for the most part. I love wordplay as well.

"New school" I like Kendrick up until his debut album, Big K.R.I.T., Wale, Stalley, J Cole recent album, Rapsody, Lil Bibby, Lil Herb, YG, Logic's debut.

My fav albums recently have been Lil Bibby Mixtapes, Lil Herb Fazoland, Boldy James 1st chem, J cole 2014 FHD, Cormega Mega Philosophy, Mickey Factz 740 Park ave , Stalley Ohio, Rapsody Beauty and Beast, Krit Cadilactica, Wale The Gifted, Saigon BSNT1 & 3, Monch PTSD, Joell Ortiz House Slippers.


If it helps I love rappers like Nas, Lauryn Hill, Monch, Q-Tip, Kast, Scarface, Beans. Guys/girls with heart, wit, incite, creativity and can use some melody.

Thanks for the info, 1 of the things I like about K-Rino is his appeal is quite diverse so can appeal to all kinds of people.

A few of my previous partners have also been big fans of his. I would suggest you listening to Deeper Elevation, I think there is songs in there you may really like from reading your response. So I think I would say that would be a good starting point. But eventually you will probably want to check everything.

It's nice to see a real female Hip Hop head like that, I know many in real life and they have a lot of knowledge and insight in Hip Hop and I enjoy their perspectives.

I think people are really mad this thread is putting so many people on, it's dope, certainly exceeded my expectations, a monstrous thread.
