They could keep Fallout exclusive, even. They already closed Bethesda.

Really, they should just say main entries for COD and Diablo will stay multi forever and make DLC time exclusives/spinoffs console and PC exclusive. I'm no lawyer, but that seems like it would address the remedies that CMA wants.

I'm torn because on the one hand, big mergers tend to be bad for consumers in the long run, but on the other hand, Sony's arguments about this shyt are terrible. They're out here locking up Square-Enix games from going to Xbox on the one hand and crying about exclusive CoD on the other. Classic Oochie-Wally/One Mic situation here.
Square Enix games are no where near the level of COD. Not even close.

Not gonna read all that CMA shyt but from the beginning MS should had put in writing that the MAIN entry of the big franchises like COD, Fallout, etc. will continue being multi along with the GAAS games, make the DLCs exclusive or time exclusive to Xbox and PC, exclusive spin offs, early access to new releases to xbox/pc users and exclusive spin offs.

Maybe that would had helped instead of their 10 years BS, 10 years in today's landscape is pretty much 1 or 2 releases of a AAA franchise.

This.

Damn the fact that Microsoft is going through all this bullshyt and they have to sell off call of duty. You know damn well Microsoft don’t give a fukk about the rest of the dusty ass activision IP. They might as well say fukk the deal.

King is big and prints money too.

Doesn't help that others have joined in expressing their concerns other than Sony.

Bottom line, they botched this trying to buy a whole damn Multiplatform Publisher thinking it was gonna be gravy.

Not saying they are, but Final Fantasy isn't lunch meat, and I think it's some bullshyt that Sony can pay to keep that shyt off Xbox.

And I know Xbox did the same shyt with Tomb Raider and Square-Enix. My argument isn't really that one company is worse than the other, but that third-party exclusives are some bullshyt in general and that Sony is out here keeping third-party games off Xbox, but crying about the same thing happening in reverse.

It’s extremely easy for Sony to keep the game off Xbox because almost 80% of FF sales are on PlayStation. Compare to COD which is massive and almost 60% of sales are on PlayStation and makes up a huge amount of PlayStation revenue.

Yeah, there really is no real comparison here. Final Fantasy is a Playstation franchise in everything but trademark. It has been for over 25 years now.

I’m sure square enix and sony showing the numbers of units moved on xbox over the last two generations would silence any doubt of that.

All Microsoft has to do is to agree to keep COD permanent on PlayStation and be released same date and time as on Xbox and I’m sure Sony will be happy with it. They don’t really care who owns COD as long it’s still on their system. But we all know Phil the lying scoundrel has no plans to ever do that shyt.

And it's going to stay that way as long as Sony moneyhats that shyt, but I'm going to just agree to disagree with you here that it's cool for Sony to spend money to keep FF of Xbox, but Microsoft buying CoD is terrible.
