US jet shoots down unknown object flying off Alaska coast
A U.S. military fighter jet has shot down an unknown object flying off the northern coast of Alaska. That's according to White House officials Friday.apnews.com
"ABC News Chief Global Affairs Correspondent Martha Raddatz first reported that when fighters were scrambled, the pilots did visuals, got images and said there was no sign the object had propulsion.
It was described as "cylindrical and silver-ish gray" and seemed to be floating, a U.S. official said.
Asked if was "balloon-like," the official said, "All I say is that it wasn't 'flying' with any sort of propulsion, so if that is 'balloon-like' well -- we just don't have enough at this point."
US shoots down unknown 'high-altitude object' over Alaska, White House says
"Some pilots said the object “interfered with their sensors” on the planes, but not all pilots reported experiencing that.
Some pilots also claimed to have seen no identifiable propulsion on the object, and could not explain how it was staying in the air, despite the object cruising at an altitude of 40,000 feet."

Those Pentagon quotes are pretty wild.
Weird, right? I'm not even saying it's a UAP, but I don't think it's a balloon. They're talking about cylinders, and unmanned vehicles flying at 40k feet. And pilots flying alongside to observe. I think if it were a balloon that they'd just say so.
anyone listening to the pentagon briefing? only the first Chinese one was a balloon, the other 3 were not balloons but just "objects" objects that obviously can fly but they don't know how
reporter just asked directly if it was aliens, general said "we can't rule that out"
Those Pentagon quotes are pretty wild.
I mean, I don't really think it's aliens but let's not act like we put a lot of effort when observing "inferior" life forms. Hell, how many times we've seen animals knock out cameras and shyt like thatim sure aliens traveled all this way just to deploy very shytty technology
It looks like they're trying to retreive the wreakage nowSo if they shot it down nobody went to analyze what exactly it is that they shot down?
as long as we dont handle it like this...I mean I don't think it's aliens but hilariously I wouldn't at all be surprised if we were dumb enough to handle first contact like this. Seems on par with the U.S.
So if they shot it down nobody went to analyze what exactly it is that they shot down?
you break it, you bought it. gotta go get itWhy would they? I wouldn't if I was in charge. Just leave that shyt alone.
you break it, you bought it. gotta go get it
just wear a hazmat suit and collect and study it. knowledge is power, brehIf we know where it landed we should nuke it.
I heard there were bad weather conditions on the ground like icy waters and stuff and the recovery couldn't start until this weekSo if they shot it down nobody went to analyze what exactly it is that they shot down?
