the ether

"ABC News Chief Global Affairs Correspondent Martha Raddatz first reported that when fighters were scrambled, the pilots did visuals, got images and said there was no sign the object had propulsion.
It was described as "cylindrical and silver-ish gray" and seemed to be floating, a U.S. official said.
Asked if was "balloon-like," the official said, "All I say is that it wasn't 'flying' with any sort of propulsion, so if that is 'balloon-like' well -- we just don't have enough at this point."

US shoots down unknown 'high-altitude object' over Alaska, White House says

"Some pilots said the object “interfered with their sensors” on the planes, but not all pilots reported experiencing that.

Some pilots also claimed to have seen no identifiable propulsion on the object, and could not explain how it was staying in the air, despite the object cruising at an altitude of 40,000 feet."

Those Pentagon quotes are pretty wild.

Weird, right? I'm not even saying it's a UAP, but I don't think it's a balloon. They're talking about cylinders, and unmanned vehicles flying at 40k feet. And pilots flying alongside to observe. I think if it were a balloon that they'd just say so.

anyone listening to the pentagon briefing? only the first Chinese one was a balloon, the other 3 were not balloons but just "objects" objects that obviously can fly but they don't know how

reporter just asked directly if it was aliens, general said "we can't rule that out"

:damn: :lupe:

Those Pentagon quotes are pretty wild.

Unidentified flying object
Cylindrical in shape
No visible means of propulsion
Interferes with electronic equipment
Experienced pilots can't tell what it is
Appearing in various different locations
Government / military isn't ruling out aliens

This has a ton of elements from previous sightings that were deemed by some to be proof of UFOs. So one way or another, unless the military just STFU and stops telling us anything, seems like we're going to get some answers one way or the other.

im sure aliens traveled all this way just to deploy very shytty technology
I mean, I don't really think it's aliens but let's not act like we put a lot of effort when observing "inferior" life forms. Hell, how many times we've seen animals knock out cameras and shyt like that :heh:

For a type 4 civilization we are basically very large and violent ants :dead:

Something that stands out to me is the slow pace at which their disclosing what's been recovered from the last 3 objects shot down.
Seems like they were able to recover the Chinese spy balloon relatively quicky. Also odd how no one has came out and claimed the objects as theirs.
