This is another issue. In back-to-back runs 2020 & 2021 Kawhi had to go god-mode just for LAC to survive the first round. Sure, that should be an expectation if you're a top 5 player... but, on the other hand, you can't be getting tripped up to lesser teams in round 1 if you're an allegedly stacked title team.

And if you're truly not a stacked title team, then that means the regular season has to be taken seriously for seeding, chemistry, and all that stuff. To your earlier point, the way PG played in round 2 vs UTA is how he needs to play from jump, where it's more 1a/1b.
Should be a better start to the season with Russ and Plumlee on for a full season. Of course we need Kawhi & PG healthy but the point guard spot and no back up big killed the team at the beginning of the season last year. Then the Wall experiment, the Reggie and Morris fall off but still getting big minutes was a mess. Gotta move Morris and get KJ, Kobe Brown, and maybe Moussa some looks at PF. That was a huge weakness for us as well. We'll see

I'll give PG some slack on his statements which usually always don't sound right once the words fumble out of his mouth.

That leg snap took a lot out of his game. Plus Lue having him run point was a no go and still is. Russ taking over the point position helps him out tremendously. PG just has to chill on his wording in his comments. But at least he talks unlike our other big dog
PG takes games off with the Clippers in a way that he never did with the Thunder imo. If the choice is not saying anything at all or saying the stupid shyt PG does I'd choose silence 10/10. I don't need either of them to speak -- but if you do people are going to hold you to it. They just need to hoop. Not punt the regular season -- I'm not talking about load management, at their age and given their history you gotta be smart, but acting like the regular season doesn't matter is not acceptable given the history of this team.

Think Kawhi is going to need to soak up a lot of PF minutes next season. I'd like to see Kobe Brown and Diabate get a shot to see if we have anything. I assume we'll see Martin there too.

This team is not good enough to punt on the regular season. Maybe if they weren't barely out of the play-in every April they'd have a better shot of winning down one guy or two and they'd have a chance to get healthy and come back. Instead, Kawhi has to go super Saiyan to fight off Luka in game 7 playing 46 minutes a game or whatever.

Nuggets
Suns
Lakers
Warriors
Kings
Grizz
Thunder (more than likely)

Let’s be honest my guy. They’re no easy outs in the west anymore . Run down the list of teams if you don’t believe me. The most important thing is having these guys functioning when it’s time

That's the case now -- I don't believe that's been the case the entirety of their run. Also, playing the Kings, Grizzlies, Thunder, Pels, etc. is MUCH different than having to play Nuggets, Suns, or Warriors first round. I agree its likely match up dependent but punting the regular season doesn't give you any room to maneuver.

Facts. They definitely have to take the regular season more seriously. But also playing youth helps out tremendously for the regular season. The post season is for the vets and stars to shine and do their thing but the kids getting minutes takes a lot of pressure off during a grueling 82 game season. With our stars injured and load managing the regular season away, it didn't help when Reggie, Morris, Wall, Batum, Kennard, Norm(hot & cold) all got big minutes all season long. They're good somewhat good pieces if our stars are playing but on their own we were just spinning our wheels and going nowhere.

Just like us, heath is going to play a big factor in these teams success. Nuggets are solid all the way through. Dubs are old and just got a ton older with CP3. I see a lot of load managing for Bron this season. KD has to be healthy and he's getting up in age. Kings will make the playoffs. Gotta see how the JA situation pans out for Memphis. Gotta see if the Thunder has found their core. shyt is definitely going to be wild no doubt about it.

This is a great point becuse i think a lot of the top seeds were teams that were the healthiest. I think the year the Suns beat us the had the best injury luck that season. Folks were saying the East was better than the West and that lasted, what, one season? Whoever makes it out the west likely going to be whatever team was the healthiest.

Definitely down to move Norm and Morris for sure. Not sure if we need Harden after resigning Russ. I actually want to see Mann, Bones, and Boston get their due this season.
Imma be real I was big on bones before the draft but I don’t think he much of anything after watching him in the league with the mindset he has now..

Just look at this summer post, usually mfs getting off, showing workouts, this what you decide to post bruh?

Yeah I saw that. He's like Skip to my Lou-Rafer Alston. He has his And-1 street game and switches it up to his organized NBA game :ehh:

Hopefully he don't wash out and end up a ballislife all-star.
