I've been impressed by Napier, as well, and I was one of his biggest critics. It seems like he just had to get used to the pace and speed of the NBA level and work on firing more solid passes.

i wouldn't mind him with our second unit because he can help create for our more offensively scarce squad.

:patrice:

Brown has defense and Athleticism so he can guard 1s and 2s. Birch gives us good team defense and rebounding. Dawkins is a lights out shooter...

I'll say this Shabazz has no fear and will let it rain but spo is all about being efficient I can see him getting benched a lot in tight spots

dawkins and birch

edit: damn I skipped over shannon....

this is tough...dawkins can shoot....brown can lock down nikkas and birch can defend the paint and rebound..

fml if I had to make this decision...

I aint watch the game, but Ennis only played 3 minutes :what:, please tell me he got hurt or was this a coaching decision???

they let the other rooks try to make a name for themselves....it was a great showing from the other young guys...

Ennis has a roster spot already secured...he can take the night off....

I doubt Birch makes the roster. He is really raw offensively plus we already have Hamilton as a backup center.

It would be nice if we could send him and Dawkins to our D-League squad to keep them in our system another year.

I think the announcers were saying that the team can add 4 guys from their camp roster to their d-league team, but the Heat wouldn't have their rights so the players are free to sign with another NBA team if they want to. I'm pretty sure the only way to have a player's rights and have them on your d-league team is if they're part of your 15 man roster.

One of the Birch, Dawkins, Brown trio will be left out most likely. Brown will probably make it since he's a veteran so it'll come down to either Birch or Dawkins. Dawkins may have the edge because of the Duke connection, but I'm not sold on his defense. He is a great shooter though. Would be nice to let Birch develop offensively in the d-league too and he has more upside than Hamilton.

That's how I'm looking at it too. Would hate to cut a dude who didn't have a chance to compete(Hamilton), but unless he was tearing it up in camp before surgery, Birch has a clear NBA skill with his rebounding.

Napier is starting to look good SHOOTING finally :leon:
If he keeps it up we'll see more Chalmers at backup SG just to get Napier some minutes at PG. Something tells me they are gonna try to play Noris Cole more just so they could increase his trade value

If the warden could rebound he essentially would be Ben Wallace.
Yup.

That's why I couldn't stand dude. And he could box out too. Just could never grab the ball. Tipping it out to teammates was the best he could manage most of the time. Even on offense he couldn't catch a Damn pass half the time
