WHITESIDE BY THE NUMBERS

Whiteside has a total rebound percentage of 23.2 in his 139 minutes. If he qualified, that mark would be second in the NBA. Second. Only that freak by the name of DeAndre Jordan would rank higher. And though it may not be a telling stat, Whiteside is averaging 13.2 rebounds per 36 minutes as well. In other words, dude is eating glass.

And holy mother of Naismith, if he qualified, Whiteside would lead the league in blocks by a gigantic margin.

Whiteside has a 10.9 Block percentage, an estimate of field goals blocked while he's on the floor, good enough for over four blocks per 36. Anthony Davis leads the league at 2.8.

Clearly Whiteside's presence is showing up in the superficial numbers. But what's his real impact?

Check him out

Nothing spectacular but he hustles and thats what we need

they got nothing, that they would be willing to give up that we want in return

Grizzlies can get the fukk outta here with that offer

fukk that offer
So the Grizzlies want Deng :patrice:
Only if they are willing to give up Gasol or ZBO

Outside of that they can kick rocks

Trade makes no sense thats basically giving up on the season and STILL wouldnt guarantee a pick

Realistically the best we can strive for is a 6th seed this season and possibly make the second round.
If we can get a future asset(pick) for a guy who'll likely test FA, you do it, especially since this team is treadmill status.

:childplease: 2021??

Nikka, it's 2016 or bust right now

Breh outside of Durant, there's no one in that 2016 class to turn us into contenders. Wade will be 34 and Bosh will be 32 in 2016, while we have no AS potential prospects on this roster. Do you honestly believe we'll sign Durant or signing a guy like Batum/Conley will put this team over the top? The Heat need to net assets(prospects and/or picks) in the next 3+ years, because 2016 will be a let down.

There are ALOT good players available the next 2 summers.

We can definitely construct a good team even without attracting KD.

Getting the best player doesn't mean winning the chip, as we know.

We just have to get the right pieces

Bosh and Wade are playing well enough. Spo needs to develop the current young players and come up with a better game plan and rotations or simply quit and let someone else do the job. There is no good reason why this team shouldn't have a .650 or top 4 record in the East.

Dwyane Wade has a pretty awesome Marquette court for his son

A lot of fathers want their son to follow in their footsteps, and Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is no different. And with the financial means Wade has at his disposal, he can go the extra mile.

Before he was a title-winning star for the Heat, Wade first made his mark in the collegiate ranks for the Marquette Golden Eagles under the direction of current Indiana coach Tom Crean. Wade led the team to the 2003 Final Four, and clearly cherishes his time in college.

He also really, really wants his son to have that experience, too.

You didn't answer the question, do you honestly think this team will be contenders in two years. Mind you we're a little over a third of the season and we're 5 games under .500 in a bad east. Mind you that we're seeing the best out of Wade, and teams like the 76'ers; Magic, Pistons, and possibly the Knicks will be vastly better in two years.

Before anyone says we don't need stars to win, we don't have a great coach like Pop. Spo is ridiculously mediocre and is not going to take a team of "pretty good" players to the ECF and beyond. I'm not even hopping on a bandwagon, I said it back in July that this team will go nowhere til they start tanking.

Memphis pick is gonna be in the late 20's...

basically a rotation player with little to no potential (Chalmers & Cole)

A player of that caliber aint helping us..

Just going backwards really because Deng is the only one on the perimeter who can defend
