The climbing is still postponed. Wangnan still missing. Baam still getting random powerups. Parakewl is missing...but

Semi-spoiler but nothing plot ruining:
The climb is now postponed so we can watch a couple of the 10 main lords go to war which is epic; Wangnan seemed like he was headed back for the old crew with upgrades (and Miseng of all characters is a beast); Baam's powerups are now going to some key friends so they can keep up with power creep; and the story has gotten WAY better with this current arc. We're finally seeing top-20 rankers and key power players in action.

That bit of messaging took me back to the early theory days. When we were going off SIU's notes at the ends of chapters more than anything we'd seen.

I remember early on in ToG, there were a bunch of floating theories about Baam's real identity. It was mostly before Arlene and V came into clearer view. I spent a really long time assuming Phantaminum was directly tied to Baam. He either created Baam (because he's an exis), he was reborn as Baam, or something similar.

t would explain why Yuri (the only survivor of Phantaminum's attack besides Zahard) knew to go to the first floor right when Baam appeared. She was quick to give him a 13 Months Needle too; and now we know just how important those are to the princesses.

Edit: Found some of my old comments on it from 2013...I've been stuck on this Phantaminum link for 10 damned years.
