I'm from columbus ohio and i know that shyt ain't true. our bbq is just regular. no way its a top spot.

if you dont have KC and TX at the top, then the whole thing is invalid. even though i dont live there, all the BBQ i eat is texas style. that's pretty much all anybody here wants. you cant go by an aggregation of tourists. they are rating bbq based on customer service or if they woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning.

I've never been to Texas but I already know they know a thing or two about BBQ down there. Definitely on my bucket list to get down there and try some BBQ and beef.

The fact that Seattle was on the Best of List, tells you it was a hipster type that put this list together.

Brisket is overrated. Anyways. Went to a bbq and was happy to try some brisket for the first time..that shyt taste like pot roast moms used to make on special sundays

You went to the wrong place. Get the right brisket and it'll change your mind. To me the only protein that taste better than brisket is bacon

Exactly, I was never a huge fan of brisket then I had some at a few local spots around Raleigh. Now it's my favorite piece of barbecue next to pork ribs.

The problem is they're judging by restaurant reviews and it's possible Texas ppl are very strict and peculiar about their bbq so they're going to be harsher on the critique than other places. Especially those major cities in Texas.

Bbq areas in general are probably going to be much harsher. Any bbq list without Texas, Carolinas, Kansas City, Memphis isn't to be taken seriously.
