I agree. Southern accents are the best.
I hated them when I was younger. But as I’ve gotten older they are so pleasing to the ear. It’s like warm honey running down your throat.

Central Pa has a pretty basic / standard accent.
I don't sound anything like someone from Philly or Pittsburgh.
Influences here are usually Bmore, Philly, and PA Dutch.
I grew up pretty suburban so I was more exposed to the wyte accents.

The white and black accents are different in pretty much every city, they may as wel make two separate lists.
That old Chicago accent is trash. List is garbage.
Most of the people I hear that talk like this today are polish.
The Chicago accent is really a great lakes accent. You hear it as far as buffalo ny and its indeed one of the least pleasing accents to the ears.
Ironiccally I think that accent is much more prevalent in the burbs or nw Indiana than the actual city.

New Orleans/SE Louisiana got the GOAT accents. I could listen to my grandmother talk for hours. Even her laugh is screams Louisiana.
