Depends on the region in New Jersey. Newark and jersey City -there’s a difference but not drastic ,central and south jersey , towns closer to Pennsylvania (Cherry Hill etc) Major and notable difference in accent. The white southern jersey accent, they sound like hicks. It’s bad ..Is the gap between New Jersey and New York really that high to have New Jersey ranked that low and New York that high, tho? Not American, so I'm wondering.
