It depends what part of Texas they’re from too. Up there in Dallas, you’re 100% correct. The further from the boarder, the more mixed their identity is. But South Texas Tejanos, are pretty much ten toes into their cultural and ethnic identity. Someone from San Antonio, Corpus, Brownsville, or Laredo is gonna be different then some extremist with something to prove who lives in a whiter part of DFW or a Tejano who lives in the historically blacker parts of Dallas or Houston who’s identity was shaped by black Texans.
