Reminds me of an NPR special on MAGA Latino anti-border-crossing activists. They were doing way too much. I knew a girl in college who was a 7th-generation immigrant. She still identified as Latina and she was pretty white. Some are going to assimilate and some aren't, some of them can assimilate and some clearly can't.
