That's because Tariq has a tendency to just find anyone who says they can do something. He talks all the time about janky folks he's worked with, even doing HC. His vetting process is garbage.

I myself freelance(yes, I have emailed Tariq) and know plenty of folks who were able to translate that into a business of their own. Some are now consulting other businesses on web development. If Tariq goes to some of these major Black Tech events and hang around some serious people, he'd find them.
