nikkas want to toss the youngins in the bushes because (surprise! young players struggle early in their careers) and stunt their growth just to play .500 basketball with the vets :francis: ...the cycle will never end

Lonzo available

I think we should trade for him but he's gonna want 15-20 million this off season. That's a high price tag

I don't think Lonzo is in any position to demand 20mil but who knows

either way, I'd be ok with him being at point if he played with any consistent edge/drive on the court

I'm so over this injury prone kid

His trade value is shot compared to last year. So over His poor mans Al Horford impression. Even when he gets back, I rather just give Gafford some of his minutes and see how he can complement Lauri.

I wouldn’t mind Zo more so as a back-up as a a true young Point who can defend wouldn’t hurt at all... and yeah Coby has hit a Sophomore Slump, but I don’t want this “experiment” to end just yet. After a few games, him and Zack were cooking , and doing a good job of sharing facilitating responsibilities.

We painfully needed a a 3rd guy to give us 16+ nightly, and Lauri has looked great in this Billy D Offense, and without looking, I’m sure Coby has played like shyt since he’s been back but White’s played PG his whole life on all levels of basketball I’m sure. Gotta let him have growing pains and not just pigeonhole him into that Lou Will Role.. I’d continue to start him and Lavine as our backcourt and if he doesn’t figure it out a little after All Star Break/ end of the year then you can think about looking for a New Point but I can’t just essentially give up on a 7th overall pick in his 2nd year and make him the next Ben Gordon after struggling..

My main gripe even during since the end of the Hoiberg era was our young nucleus/Starting 5 never building continuity and never getting a chance to play a long string of games together without one or two guys being out for a significant amount of time. I think we have enough talent to get in the play in, but I don’t think we’re a playoff team this year so that would be a good look.I’d continue to start Coby/Lavine/P Will and Lauri for the rest of the season barring injury and asses from there. Imma have faith in AK and have confidence he’ll make the right moves to make us competitive by the Season after next.

It's a 40 degree day type of trade, I guess if they are trending towards letting Lauri walk, getting a pick back is better than nothing.
Yeah, depends on protection of the pick.

Pelicans have the 4th worst record on the league right now, but a motivated Lauri should improve the team as he'd open the floor up a little.

Swapping a guy having a solid season because he'll want a big contract is cool, but for a guy having a bad season that wants a big contract, that pick will have to be solid.
