I have to also acknowledge that he was doing this against some of the best defenders in the league and he gave all of them buckets on good efficiency.

I think we are a vet pg , good center and bench scorer away from being pretty dam good.

What’s a fair value if yall can package Lavine and WCJ or Lauri you think ?

I dont think you can get fair value if you are trading them to just to trade them.

If there's a target in mind it's possible to get good value. For example if we were trading for Harden I'd think a package of LaVine, Lauri/WCJ, 1 more guy and picks could potentially be possible (even tho I would still take the 6ers deal if I were them), but that would set this team back and wouldn't be good.

So depends on what your trading for.

If someone has a kings ransom for lavine then you can consider it but more than likely the package you get for lavine would for example say the lakers do Kuzma, THT, and 3 picks but those picks will be in the late 20s late teens at best. Then if you think your going to take all those picks trade up, or flip them for a star then look at teams like okc and Boston who have a ton of these type of assets but can't do much with it but just draft and add role players to their roster.

We got lavine coby and pwill here with a ton of cap space next off season. We can build a pretty good team then max lavine out the year after.

Im all in with Zach, Coby and Project Pat

I used to think ok Zach a bucket but he just one of them dudes who is a good scorer on bad teams and plus his trash defense didnt help. Didnt seem like a guy you want to pay max to.

While his defense is still bad, it's not totally shyt anymore and he is starting to pass more...now he still needs hella work and he be making lots of TOs but he isnt just hunting for his own shot. I'm willing to roll the dice that he can improve his playmaking and become at least passable on D, I'm ok with maxing him. Right now, he is a top 10 shotmaker in the NBA....he's better than other young cats who got maxed like Fox or Murray so cool lets keep him. I still think he's a #2 on a high level playoff team so we still need that undisputed #1

Coby has really turned the corner as a passer, double digit assists without having a crazy amount of TOs. His defense tho....:scust: he prob one of the worst guards rn, he gets fukking SLAYED on screens...he's too light in the ass and his awareness is super low level right now. He really needs to learn to navigate screens and some of that is on other players not communicating enough(ahem WCJ) but he needs to hit them weights and actually watch game film. Dude looks like he just be hoopin out there like he's at a park in Englewood.

Project Pat....i can see why he gets them Kawhi comparisons. Same body type, huge ass hands, long arms....same off the dribble midrange jumpers....he just gets to his spot, raises up smooth and hits it. His 3 point release is super fukking weird. It's slow as fukk and has a weird ass hitch...that being said, nikka be hittin em but he needs to speed that shyt up bc good defenders will send that shyt to Pluto. His boxing out and rebounding needs a lot of work, i can see he doesnt put a body on dudes a lot of times.
Defensively he's solid as hell for a rookie. He didn't back down from trying to check Bron or Kawhi...he needs to communicate and be more verbal and he ball watches a lil too much but he's active and can get steals/deflections. He's gonna be an animal in year 3.....maybe not Kawhi but like a supercharged version of Deng

WCJ has been playing better but he sucks as a defensive communicator. He still gets bodies out there at times. Offensively, he opened up his bag and can make some nice ass passes and is hitting some jumpers. They need to stop making him shoot 3s and concentrate on hitting that 15 footer first and working from there. I still don't see him at the right starting center for this team....i'd trade him to somewhere like Boston and get an actual rim protecting center.

Lauri looked decent this year but he still kinda the same dude. If you can bring him back for 12/mill a year, i'd do it. I wouldn't really budge off that and honestly I think some team will go up to 15 mill for him(San Antonio or somewhere like that)....i'd let him walk. Honestly they should trade him after year 2

Temple has been a great pickup so far. Thad has been solid too but I'd move him and Sato at the deadline and get some 2nds. I still mess with Denzel as a bench wing who can shoot 3s and make passes(honestly he might be the best pure passer on the squad)....i think he should be getting at least 25 minutes a game...it just sucks he so injury prone and slow as hell

Hutch is garbage....we need more wings badly.

Gafford isnt that great, his defensive awareness sucks. not sure why ppl like him so much....he a good athlete but nah. Need a better backup

My wishlist
Vet PG
at least 2 more good rotational wings
Upgrade frontcourt

With that, we will be in playoffs next year guaranteed...honestly we are ready to sneak in this year if they want

Still not sold on Coby as the PG, those duties take away from what makes him so cold. Him and Zach have shown they can handle those duties and that's good, but they really need to limit those turnovers.

I feel the same for Lauri, I'm cool with keeping him for the right price. I'm also kind of torn on what the frontcourt should look like moving forward. Pat's value on the defensive end is going to be big for this team moving forward.

If the Bulls can add an athletic big that can switch onto wings at times and defend PnR in the draft or via FA, I wouldn't mind seeing how someone like that looks alongside Lauri.

I just took a look at the FA list, and the bigs available aren't really known for defense, so IDK...

Wendell is playing better, would you be cool shipping him out and going after someone like John Collins (who is going to want a bag) or Richaun Holmes in free agency? Otto is more than likely gone, another guy that might be available who I wouldn't mind taking a look at is Justice Winslow. Risky since he's been hurt a lot, but younger and cheaper than Otto

I feel like Coby at PG can work if you insert playmakers with him and Zach. Coby and Zach as options offball with a facilitator is better than what a lot of teams have.

We've seen it with Denzel some already, it just depends on the personnel that is on the roster IMO. If you have a closing lineup with another guy who can run the offense, then that will cut down the turnovers and bad sets late in games IMO.

I know it’s a young league but these guys are SO young, man. I can’t be too hard on Coby given he’s so raw in his development and the first time they’re asking him to handle the rock like this. I appreciate teams that work to develop their draft picks instead of doing the merry go round thing. If they can develop this core together they can be good for years. That requires patience, though.
