He and Jerami Grant will be hot commodities this off-season ... Wonder if either team would take like a Coby + Thad/Sato package for one of those dudes :patrice:

That package has limited value. Def not enough to get Grant or Brogdon

Sato is just a guy...thad could help a contender a bit, coby is a streaky 6th man....all that aint gonna get much.

Why do ppl think Grant is available? Plus he signed with Detroit bc he wanted to be "the man". Otherwise he woulda stayed with an actual contender in Denver

Yeah that's possibly true ... I do wonder if the way we (the fanbase) perceive our players value matches the leagueview however ... Whether too high or too low I think a lot of times those perceptions don't always align when it comes to player analysis and it's difficult to predict because we don't know what other GM's are looking for or prioritizing ...but yeah more to the point I do think those dudes are going to be valued this off-season I just wonder what kind of realistic offers they can command

What he wants doesn't really matter he's under contract for 2 more years and really serves Detroit no purpose ... By the time that teams young dudes develop into being worth a damn he'll be in his 30's ...I doubt he's in the long term plans for Detroit ..he was a good player to sign and dump for inflated value ..its a smart strategy

You could get a mid/late 2nd for Sato
Coby will get you another teams failed prospect....someone like Kevin Knox

Thad coulda possibly gotten a late 1st this year when he was balling out but now he has cooled off and next year will be older

Bulls tend to overvalue their guys....the only dudes with positive value are Zach, Vuc and Pat

You're bugging ... This is where I think being a fan hinders our objective eval of our own players ...Coby is giving you 15ppg at 21 years old ..even if he never elevates that kind of scoring has value ...some fringe rotational player like Knox is barely hanging on to a roster spot ...a team like Miami/Phila could desperately use his shot creation right now even if his consistency isn't great

I doubt anyone would have given a 1st for thads non shooting ass ...where does he even fit on a playoff roster ...but yeah I do think that there is likely a disconnect with the way fans value players because of the emotional element vs front offices ...for example ..how much do you think Lauri will get on an offer sheet this summer?

I like Brogdon more just because of the shooting but yeah I think Pat and Grant could be nice F's next to Vuc ..kind of like Gordon and Isaac in Orlando

we not expecting that. we'd all be happy with haliburton-type consistency.
Those expectations are unrealistic that's the point... Players like Halli are the exception not the rule especially in a rookie season..which is why I mentioned LeBron ...those are exceptions

Your favorite teams best player is a perfect example of what I'm saying ... Go look at Zach Lavines numbers at age 19/20 and tell me what you see??

Go look at Bradley Beals early career numbers and tell me what you see??

CJ McCollum
Kemba Walker
Jamal Murray

These kind of combo scoring guards all were putting up similar or worse numbers in their second years compared to Coby ... And these nikkas weren't being asked to take on a whole new position/role either ...now I will say if he's still on this team next year ..and you don't see more consistent and efficient scoring from him in his 3rd year I would be far more concern ..but his development has been pretty par for the course .... Y'all nikkas just want these young 19 year olds to be Allstar calibre right out the package and that's not how it works .... I see some of the same talk around Pat kicking up
