Lol yes smh

This was never supposed to be a quick fix. It's picking a lane to build through free agency and trades. You keep posting as if anyone here was trying to make a case that the Vucevic trade was making us title contenders when all of us understood he was the 1st major piece to be added with more to come hence the "I'm not done" statement in the press conference following the trade. Your literally in here misrepresenting everyone's position on the lane picked then arguing against it as it was ever a point we were trying to make in the 1st place.

Gotta give it another season or 2 before we decide if this was a failed plan. Just like we gave the rebuild 4 years before we decided it wasn't a course we wanted to take anymore. Only thing that stings is the 2 picks but the likelihood that Orlando will draft a star at the range they get the picks or we would draft a star where we land was little and slim anyway and if we miss and the pick lands top 4 we get it anyway.

Needing 2 years into the future to evaluate whether a "win now" strategy is working seems principally antithetical in nature ... after this summers free agency we wont have any money "for the future" not recognizing that this plan isn't heading in the right direction if the team cant acquire a marquee additional player and soon is willful ignorance out of the sake of protecting ones ego .... I desperately hope the F.O. doesn't carry that kind of internal foolhardiness

For instance Zach Lavine is a whole ass free agent next summer theres 0 guarantee that he will even choose to be here moving forward if this team doesn't dramatically improve over the summer (this was a talking point to defend the trade) and yet people like yourself are straight faced telling me that its going to be a 2-3 year process to evaluate the sensibilities of this direction.... there seems to be a fundamental disconnect and dishonesty from the realities of this teams current circumstances from some of you

....the whole talking point of making a move for a 31 year old player is that it would help us in the present push for relevance/competitiveness but now that it doesn't seem to be going as smoothly as you nikkas anticipated you're moving the goalposts to "well actually right now doesn't even matter.. who cares about this season its all about 2 years from now baby!!!"

Listen man you nikkas can tell yourselves whatever you want to make yourself happy .... you can say i'm "misrepresenting" you but what you're not going to do is sell me some wolf tickets and misdirection..I would bet my entire bank account that AKME did not make this move with the intention to abort this year or only see marginal improvements next year with hopes of being relevant 2 years from now..

Hiding this teams current failure to compete behind the "I'm not done" comment as if he has LeBron James waiting to be pulled out of his back pocket is pure disingenuous deflection at its finest ... of course "he's not done" continuing to improve the teams chances to win every year is his fukking job nikka ...nobody is expecting him to retire after doing one trade :mjlol:

Lavine been banged up for a while now. So maybe the rest will benefit him. He'll be well rested if the Bulls somehow manage to still make the play in. If not we can just hope that the pick lands in the top 4. And if it doesn't it still ain't worth crying over. The improvements to the team will most likely come free agency and not the draft.

Not going smoothly? Dude it's been 11 games! Lol the point of "win now" is literally something only you are sticking with. Your trying to frame that point but don't impose that on us or the front office. Which is again, why he walks away from the press conference saying "I'm not done". If the idea was to having maximum success this year why is he saying that? Your making no sense. Then your coming back to the board with this point like we have been in here even talking about a deep playoff run. At best we expected a play in which btw is still in play. Most of us knew this would take time others even explained this was about putting out a perception that we want to compete for the future no more tanking and you are literally ignoring that because you need a point to argue. Appears to me you need to tell yourself that is what it was to make yourself feel like you have made a great point here but your very premature and jumping the gun just to argue. It makes no sense

Btw lavine out would only have been a detriment if he tore another acl he literally is only out due to covid protocol how does being out for covid protocol deter free agents? Again you make no sense.
